Tipton's Cafe — Restaurant in Greeneville

Super small restaurant without enough seating. The hood over the griddle isn’t big enough so the entire room fills with greasy smoke. We left with the stench of burger and bacon grease in our hair and clothes. The server wore a very unprofessional shirt with a rude cartoon character word bubble. He took forever to get to our table - others who came in after us were being sat and having their order taken. We expressed it was our first time yet didn’t get any menus to order from, so we had to look it up online. I ordered the donut burger. The server lost our table’s ticket and had to rewrite from memory. My food was totally forgotten and whipped together at the last minute. Everyone’s food came out at different times. My donut was a disgusting, grease-covered Little Debbie honey bun. The ground beef was very overcooked and half of the toppings I requested weren’t added. Tipton’s doesn’t offer French fries as a side even though it’s a burger joint. It’s a griddle food. Disappointed and disgusted. Can’t say that I’ll be back. Also, every dish is hand-washed as there’s no dishwasher so I’m sure the tableware...

First and last time to eat there. Went to bathroom which you go through kitchen area and smells like backed up sewage. Don't know how the board of health leaves them stay open. Dirty and so nasty back there. Food was horrible. Fake gravy for a tiny biscuit. Breakfast sandwich tiny also. And then when went to pay they charged me $2.50 more than the menu showed. They said too bad we have new prices here taped to the counter on register area. WHAT?? What a way to scam customers. $4.00 for 1 tiny biscuit with nasty gravy and $4.00 for a tiny biscuit sandwich. Menu showed $2.50 b&g $3.00 sandwich... I will never go there again and the health department needs to be contacted. Downtown Greeneville needs a real...

Warning!! Cash ONLY! Also, it is open even though you can’t drive down the street since it looks like they’ve totally ripped out the road and are revamping the area. We were a party of 8 and the total bill was only $58, but a couple of people only got one biscuit with gravy. The biscuits and gravy are very very good! Our waitress was very sweet and apologized when some of the orders were not correct. However she did make sure everyone got what they ordered.
