The atmosphere was dark, the presentation was below par for the upscale they wish to represent. They lack personality when interacting with us - leaving us for long periods of time. The waitress was great when she was around. We arrived at 5:10p seated at 5:15p at 5:36p the first salad was delivered - the first dinner plate was delivered at 6:10p - the next 2 were delivered 10 min later with the last plate another 10 min. At first only one out of the 4 got food (6:10p) The waitress comes out and says I brought your food out too early. I should have waited another 2 mins. Finally the rest of the food was coming out, nope, still missing a dinner. Don't worry a complimentary $6 soup was delivered to the 4th person (while waiting for their dinner) so they wasn't left out while the rest of us were eating. It took another 10mins for it to come out - it was the hottest meal the table received. I was jealous of the steam they had, hearing the sizzle... ah the sounds of greatness. Not sure what happened but the food was barley warm. Even the soup was lukewarm at best. We were expecting fine dining treatment but got average dining experience we'd get at Applebee's. 3 of has had the filet mignon but when it came out it looked like beef stew, tasted like roast - not sure $38 each was worth it. The twice baked potato a $2 upcharge wasn't worth it - get the puréed "mashed" potatoes those were scrumptious. I was hoping for a WOW factor but what I got was satisfactory. I did question myself whether I even got filet mignon. Overall it was a good time with family. By the time we left the place was getting busier but those people may like what they get. Will we return? NO!

We decided to try Carnegie's for Valentine's Day. It is a beautiful restaurant offering a smaller intimate space and hinting at the building's 115 year historical origination. Carnegie's is much more of an experience. We had fantastic shrimp cocktail. The shrimp were very meaty, and the sauce gave a healthy, but not overbearing, flavor of horseradish. The beef medallions were great. They were cooked to perfection and radiated red wine flavors. The salmon was also a perfect medium and was quite enjoyable. The potatoes and green beans also tasted fresh and were quite good. My only slight qualm was that we did not get presented the specials. I had heard another server explain them to a nearby table after our orders were already submitted, and I would have ordered the filet special. That being said, everything was still fantastic.

This was a nice dining experience in the heart of Greenfield. Fine dining without all the fussiness, this restaurant is situated in a historical building giving it unique character. A live piano player graced us with his skillful playing, which was very enjoyable, but did make it a little loud for talking at our larger table. There was a nice selection of steaks, fish, and chicken dishes. They also had beautiful salads and fresh soups. Everyone was happy with their dish. For dessert, I recommend the trio plate, which comes with a bite size portion of their 3 most popular desserts: a chocolate brownie, creme brule, and a scoop of gelato. All 3 were beautiful and it was just enough to top off dinner.

My wife and I are new to the area and seen the good reviews, so we decided to try it. Let me just start by saying that the staff is very friendly. It was pretty slow, like only 5 tables were taken. The service was a little slow but ok. Heard a lot of noise from the kitchen. The decor is nowhere near what it should be especially with the price of the meals. Let me get to the meals, I appreciate the chef coming to the table and asking how was everything. Let me tell you, I am not going to tell you the truth and get into a discussion with you while trying to have a nice dinner out with my wife. But anyways, the rib eye my wife had was tough and not seasoned evenly, the roasted potatoes under it where burnt not roasted.I have had better at Texas Roadhouse for less money. The filet I had was good, but the vegetables were burnt also. Oh I forgot, the crab stuffed shrimp that was over priced came with 3 shrimp?? 5 dollars a shrimp- what!! Anyways the drinks that we got $15 for a cocktail??? This is greenfield not downtown Indianapolis. Maybe it would be worth the money to go here if the quality and atmosphere was better. When you spend that kind of money, people want a good experience. You don’t get what you pay for here. To top it all off—- I get the bill of 140$$ for 2 people?? And then they added another 3% to the bill because I paid with my credit card.???? Never had that happen before.. then you tack on a 20% tip because the staff is nice and it’s not their fault- Anyways went here for good meal and left with a bad taste in my mouth. I actually felt like I got robbed. Seriously I felt ripped off. Never again and I will...

We stopped in to try this place out. We didn't have reservations. Wait staff were very nice. But our waitress did not even notice we did not receive our salads, or food, until we asked another staff member. We ordered our food around 7:05 pm, but after about 30 min we had to ask for the salads we ordered. The salad looked fancy, but did not taste good to me. Then after an hour I ssked when we would be getting our food. A young lady went in to check on it and came back out and said he's plating it now. We still did not get it for quite a while. When we did finally get it, was barely warm. My NY strip was hot but tough, and my potatoes were cold. The serving was about a tablespoon, it must have been the last corner left in the pan. My husband's steak was cold. His mashed potatoes were also cold. We did not eat our dinners. My husband ate the vegetables that were cold but nothing else. I let the a staff person know that I had to flag down. She did not charge for our drinks. We paid $110 for this. We don't know what happened as it eas not busy. It looks like the reviews are good on here so I don't understand. The staff was nice but the food and service was not great especially for the price. There were also fruit flies buzzing around our table as well. My husband was drinking his wine and noticed a fruit fly looking bug in his glass. I guess that can happen anywhere, but add that to the price and poor service it made for a...
