I wanted to take my wife out for a good Italian dinner. Neither of us have ever had a REALLY good Italian dinner at a restaurant so I asked a friend at work and food afficionado that if he had ONE Italian restaurant to name immediately as a go to, what is it? His response without pause was Carrabba's.
Good enough.
Waiting patiently for late Saturday afternoon, we head over and sit down at the bar for a couple of Southern Comfort old fashioned sweets. Very good job making these to the bartender.
Seating came after and we requested a booth. Pay particular note to this next sentence if you're reading every word. If you are on the rounder side of a shape, request a table. I'm 6' and 250 and the booth didn't work. We opted to play musical chairs and get a table.
Our server, Andrew, greeted us immediately with a pleasant demeanor, provided a sample of wine and other information relevant to our experience and gave us a few moments after we ordered a glass of wine. Shortly after came a server with a basket of thin sliced bread along with a small plate of Italian herbs and poured a layer of oil from the table over the herbs and said "enjoy". Delicious!
Fast forwarding to our meal of which I ordered the Fettuccine Weesie and my wife, the Lobster Ravioli, all I will say is wow. My wife had never had a vegetable minestrone soup like what she was served and it was eclipsed by her ravioli as she had this look on her face on the first bite of... How do I form this into words...
Myself, hands down the creamiest and most flavorful fettuccine I've ever had and the noodles were perfectly "to the tooth". Like... Perfect.
As we dined, I noticed the wait staff as a whole attended to tables with diligence and without pester. A difficult balance to achieve. Every single table had exceptional service. My wife even commented, have you seen the staff working? I thought she hadn't noticed being absorbed in an amazing plate of food.
We took advantage of a take home $10 entree to which we ordered their lasagna, (tomorrow's lunch) an order of bread sticks and sauce and desserts which will be, unfortunately ate tomorrow as well given the lack of room in our stomachs.
Rarely, if ever, do I take the time to write a review of length, but Carrabba's is worth the accolades my friend presented in full. We will absolutely be back and it will be our go to Italian dining from here on out.

We revisited a week later having been so impressed. It is worth noting that our server, Taylor, went above and beyond as a server to us. Did we just happen to get the best 2 wait staff that Carrabba's has to offer on our first 2 visits or are they all that good? Guess...
Read moreUpdated 10-15-25 Another wonderful wine dinner event with Managers Kelly and Selvan. The were great host and Evan and Jake did a great job at being our waiters. Truly a fun time tonight. I understand they are having both wine and bourbon dinners in November. I am sure we will be back for a couple of these events. I also understan that Selvan is leaving, he will be missed. Good luck to Selvan.
Updated 9-10-25 We were there last night and had a wonderful meal and the atmosphere was great. The new manager Kelly is very personable and she came out to talk to everybody. She is truly a professional. Selvan as always, along with Evan and Jake were great. We will be back next month for the wine dinner for sure.
Updated 8-12-25 We attended another wine dinner. Selvin, Evan and Jake are rock stars. Selvin made it a point to come around to all the guest and made us feel welocme and appreciated. Evan and Jake anticapated every need. Great team . See you 3 nextr month.
Update of July 8th. As mentioned belows, we attended the wine dinner. The meal was good but the wine pours were small. Evan was great as always. They brought back the raffle. I think we had about 30 people that spent about $80 each. Michael, the new manager, still has not met the monthly group, he actually left about an hour before we did.
Previously written: We have been attending both the Wine and Bourbon dinners for a couple of years in both Greenfield and Florida. We did the Wine dinner a few weeks ago and as always, Evan and Jake were great. Saw the new manager, Michael, and introduced myself when we passed each other near the bar. Unforturnatly, he never came by to introduce himself to our group of 24. Collectively, I would guess we spent about $1800, with tips. Also, the customary raffle did not take place. The meal was good.
Salvin, the on duty manager for the Borbon dinner is a rock star. He, Evan and Jake are a 5 star team. The meal was wonderful and as ususal, we had leftovers.
Going to try the wine on July 8th, If it goes like the June dinner, I will be sticking with Salvin and the...
Read moreThe joys of indoor dining are back at Carrabba's has nailed it on every front, imho. My server just HAPPENED to be my niece, Lizzy Rodriguez. She hovered near taking care of every want, wish and desire as I dined with her sister and brother-in-law. But the food. Let me tell you!
I tried the appetizer sampler. Mozzarella sticks are hand breaded (not poured from a bag of frozen fractiles), mushrooms are filled with a wonderful, tasty inside and topped with a tomato based cream sauce, calamari were cooked to perfection. The bread (served warm as it should be) was accompanied by an herby, garlicky pile of dry ingredients that swirled into the oil for an outstanding dip.
Soup, anyone? The lentil with sausage (with a bit of a fennel flavor which I love!) was excellent. The chicken soup was excellent, too, in that it had little tubey pastas, lots of meat AND veggies. They could have stood alone and been a meal in and of themselves.
But wait! There's more! :) We ordered to steak with grilled aparagus and mashed potatoes (skin on, thank you) and tried the mushroom and lemony sauces on the side. All flavors, even with just the steak naked, were superb. We shared our food and still went home with leftovers.
Lastly, I had to try the limoncello bread pudding. Warm with ice cream, the delicate lemon flavor and the smooth and dense consistency of the cake made it a winner of an ending to the meal.
And as an aside, eating with people who love their work (like the proprieter on site and Lizzy serving and the awesome chefs and staff) always makes a dining experience better. Hats off to you all at Carrabba's. You've got a winner. And although you knew it all along, I just found out. Now, the world will know through my...
