Melt n Dip — Restaurant in Greenfield

Late night spot that I’ve been to many times and NEVER again!!! Since the first time I came here, I loved it so much that I continued to come back and bring family every time I had them come from out of town and that streak has officially ended. I’m known to tip when served well and even over tip and this time it was a No tip, I’ve only not tipped 2 times in the last 15 years and this time was now my 3rd. Situation was we walked in, nobody was in line, we were a group of 5, and I asked my uncle, which samples he wanted to try and when he mentioned it and was about to ask, a man that I’ve never seen, I’ve seen another that is SUPER friendly who even threw in an extra surprise sample when it was our first time and he wanted us to try on top of the 2 or 3 we tried in addition to the random women that had taken care of us, right away told him “You can only have 1 sample”. So I mention to him, “did you say he can only have 1 sample?” and he replied “yes and I gave it to him”. We were truly shocked, didn’t know how to ask, and then he has the audacity to select for me to tip on the screen? My priority is customer service and then food at any restaurant. If food is horrible then different story but if it’s even mediocre and you have good service or just even have people that are straight forward and don’t even go above & beyond. I used to come here all the time because of the late open time, customer service, and food, now I’m questioning is this guy racist towards my black uncle? If not, why has this been the only ice cream place where you’re not allowed more than one sample… This was the night of October 4th, balding middle eastern man, wearing a red shirt. As soon as we entered the establishment, which consisted of less than 10 patrons, we weren't greeted. The staff stared at us from across the room and said absolutely nothing. It was awkward to say the least.

We looked at the impressive colorful menu provided on the walls before moving to look at the Gelato available by the register. At that moment, a employee came up to us and I told her what we wanted.

I personally lost my appetite and desire to enjoy the lotus waffle I'd initially wanted to order; However, the kid still wanted a couple scoops of Gelato. She chose the snickers and nutella flavors.

Her personal take was the nutella tasted absolutely delicious, but the snickers had a bad after taste and didn't taste like a snickers.

I didn't try anything, because If Noone can simply say "Hello" or ensure you feel welcomed, then what's the point of being here. There's other Gelato, custard and ice cream places in the area with better customer service...

First of all, the service was impeccable. The staff was very nice. Next, the atmosphere was very comfortable. The tables matched the vive well, and the music was at the perfect volume. The food was very delicious as well. I got the Melt n Dip Waffle and my mother got My Passion. Both dishes came out quite quickly. The waffles had a nice crispy edge and a soft, fluffy inside. They were perfect. The other dish had a good selection of dippables that complemented the chocolate. The plating was beautiful, I almost didn’t want to eat it. Another thing, although it didn’t look like there was a lot of food, it was filling and took a while to eat because of the sheer flavours. We also got the Lemon and All’s Berry gelato mixed, which was very tasty. The quality of the spoons was also very nice, and they didn’t feel cheap, even though they were plastic.
