First time coming here, right next to where I get my hair cut. Immediately I saw that it is a more homey atmosphere than other coffee shops, and chains, of course. (Starbucks 🤮) I noticed the cleanliness and a very nice and helpful man greeting me and my mother. I had not the slightest clue at some of the things on the menu, as I am not the best at ordering. Caleb was extremely nice and willing to explain what certain products were and what he thought of them, (I always appreciate it when the server/barista gives their personal experience on the product.) He asked if it was my first time and I said yes, and he told me to scan the QR Code for a review, which, as you can tell, I take seriously. He told me to make myself at home and I went and did so on one of the many very comfortable couches which reminds me of an Airbnb living room in the great smokey mountains. I didn't have to wait long before I got my latte and chocolate croissant, highly recommended but if you want more chocolate I wouldn't get it heated. Still delectable. Caleb said to let him know how it was, so I know he is interested in customers' opinions on improvement. He appeared to be the only one working here, I'm not sure, but he was doing a very good job at keeping up with greeting customers, making food and drinks, and serving them to the customers all while making them feel at home. While I was in the shop a representative from a beverage distributor came in and Caleb handled it very well and he was polite. Thank you Caleb and thank you management of Awoo Coffee for making such a pleasant coffee shop! I will be coming back and I hope this review helps someone who is either a local or just visiting, it truly is a...
Read moreWhere do I even start? Upon entering I was greeted by an odd yet homey bark echoing from the mouth of a dog portrait. Very original. That alone would've given this place a 5/5; however, whilst pondering the multitude of possibilities on their menu, sweet Caleb, offered a helping hand, and a smile that could light the night sky. He recommend the Naughty Boy latte, since he's a bit naughty and sensed that energy resonated with me. Boy, I'll tell you what... he was damn right. That latte was the naughtiest, richest, and most supreme liquid that has ever graced my face. It was just what this girl needed after a long day of business calls and stern business men. After enjoying my coffee and absorbing the ambiance of the local art, I felt so energized and naughty that I skipped, sang, and danced along the streets of Greensboro while still in my work attire. Thank you, Awoo for helping me reclaim my youthful smile and...
Read moreIncredibly nice coffee shop, highly recommend!!! I was in NC for a wedding, and I'm originally from Boston so I wanted to experience local businesses that I couldn't find up north, rather than just going to Dunks again. We went here two days in a row because we were so excited about the quality of the food and coffee. They even had gluten free coconut and banana balls so we could get our celiac bride a snack while she got ready. The first day, the barista was very sweet (she was leaving on a vacation to NYC the next week!), and the second day the owner himself was behind the counter so he came over to chat. He was so incredibly nice and shared the philosophy behind the shop, encouraging strangers who just come for coffee to sit down and get to know their neighbors. The whole vibe of this place is SO positive and the food is delicious. Will definitely be coming back here if I ever find myself in NC again....
