We have regularly visited this establishment. Even celebrated a few holiday's and booked our sons 16th birthday party in the bowling part of the restaurant. Today was an absolute disappointment. We went in for lunch and decided to sit at the bar. The two bartenders at the end of the bar could clearly see us sitting with our menus in front of us, as they carelessly continued with their conversation. The restaurant was not busy at this time. We waited about 10 minutes when my husband decided to get up and ask for their attention. The heavy White bartender took his time making his way to us, as he complained that he is "blind and didn't notice us sitting there " he took our order with a sarcastic undertone then proceeded to ask "do you want to close your tab now or keep it open?" We were really confused about the question. I had to ask my husband to immediately get his card back which he had handed to the bartender. When asked why he was asking us to open a tab when we are sitting at the bar for lunch and have done so before plenty of times without having to open a "tab", he went into a rant " Ive been here 2 years and we always ask, if your sitting at a table it's different, we've had alot of people who just walk out without paying..." I couldn't help to ignore the foam that was accumulating on the sides of his mouth - yuck! I wouldn't want you handling my food anyway! Excuse me??!! Are you implying that we are "one of those people" how dare you? "I'm not going back and fourth with you. We will take our money somewhere else" and that's exactly what we did. We took a nice walk down the street to Natty Greens and it was just wonderful. Bourbon Bowl - Management needs to do better with overseeing your staff. Your business depends on the public. Needless to say, we won't be returning to this...
Read moreMy friends and I were at this place two nights ago and one of the white bartenders felt comfortable enough to say the N word to us. When we tried to correct him politely he stood on what he said and told us if we are offended we can move to another section of the bar. The woman with the tattoos who I originally thought was a manager but later found out she’s part owner, stood there and said nothing!! She didn’t apologize to us or anything, we got her attention later on after we told him we weren’t moving and that he should be the one to move somewhere else for saying something offensive we finally got different bartenders who were amazing! All she said to us was that she sent him home to “recoup”, but this wasn’t until WE got HER attention. I just feel as an owner of an establishment you’d think you’d be appalled that one of your employees just used a racial slur and you’d think you’d be apologetic to the offended party but none of that took place. The new bartenders we got after him were amazing ladies, and they were the best part of our night but the white guy with the ponytail and the beard who said the N word to us and the lady with all the tattoos handled it very poorly, we didn’t feel as if we we heard or protected. He even threatened to kick us out at one point if we didn’t be quiet about it. I think this place needs some serious diversity training especially when there are black people who have to work alongside someone who uses racial slurs (and they were shocked and upset to learn that he had said such a thing). It’s not fair to them or any customers who would be offended by that language to allow someone like that into the atmosphere. Something needs to be done, I will not be returning to this place and id never recommend it to...
Read moreThe place was nice didn’t have to wait as long as we thought. The hostess was friendly, food was good prices was average for Greensboro. Are severe was nice she was friendly and attentive. The only problem I had was from one of the other waitresses. She was bottle blonde with dark roots showing and about 23. I not sure if just because I am old i must be deaf or that I was pay attention. But I was and i heard her say as the hostess told her to put us at her talk she like I don’t want them and jerk the means out of the hostess hands. I am assuming that table 8 is a 4 top the people behind us that I guess more to her likely had 4 people. She set us at the 6 top up front with 3 people and tried also faking that this table be more to are likely because it is bigger. Which in my mind confirmed she did say what I thought she had.I guessing she seen in the people behind us money and thought we were not going to tip. Well honey they may have more money than me but there’s a reason why because they don’t give it to people. I about bet they ran her raged and she probably didn’t get 10% off them. My we asked for little and was out of her way in less than an hour and that due to it taking a while get our food we didn’t drink so no bar trip for her and left her about 20 % on a 75$ bill. But coming from a woman that waited tables almost 15 years don’t be so quick to judge people because sometimes that old man in overhauls can buy that fancy car with 100$ bills...
