My phone buzzed. A 4-hour Amazon delivery block. It was 1:45 PM on a Saturday, and I had been driving since around 7 AM. The 3 paleo bars I packed that morning were long gone and I was famished. But then again, the delivery block had an extra $14 bonus and there were kids (and kids at heart) in the triad area who needed their holiday gifts.
But was I the right Santa? Unlike him, I’m 150-lbs and athletic. Also, for the moment I was definitely needing food. The block started in 30 minutes and was 15 minutes away. I wasn’t sure if I had the time to grab some sustenance.
I noticed the Chipotle card in my side console that a kind soul had given me as a holiday gift when I delivered his groceries. Definitely some potential there.
Google Maps revealed three Chipotle locations that were less than 8 minutes out of the way in my trip to the terminal. I turned on my car and drove to one that was five minutes away.
As I pulled into the parking lot, the only open spot in the nearest row of car was reserved for persons with disabilities. Drat! It was a two-row lot and some cars were parked at the far end near a fence. If I needed to park outside of the mall lot, the walking would take time I didn’t have. But luckily I found three open spots in the second row, so I pulled into one and ran inside the restaurant.
It was 2 PM on a Saturday, but luckily there was only one person in line and he was checking out. Convenient. I noticed that they had a hand sanitizer station near the checkout and the eating area was marked as unavailable for indoor eating. A kind woman took my order for a chicken burrito and immediately began creating the masterpiece. Customer service was kind and polite and within about 3 minutes I was back in my car.
As I sped as fast as (legally) possible to the Amazon terminal, I hungrily devoured the many layers of tasty burrito goodness. Viva México! It filled my soul as Despacito and Baillando rang through my car speakers.
Long story short, I arrived right on time for the time block and had the energy to deliver holiday smiles to over 40 people. Thanks Chipotle! Great job! I still have half of the gift card left, and will see...
Read moreToday was by far one of the grossest customer service experiences I have ever had. Out of all of the Chipotle locations in Greensboro, this is usually my preferred location because the food is generally fresh and my order has always been correct. I've been going to this location for a few years and I came here today because I couldn't get what I wanted via delivery. It had to be pickup only. My order was placed and set to be ready by 1. I arrived at 1:03 and it wasn't ready, but that wasn't a problem. I stood and waited for a bit then decided to sit down. There was a young lady waiting as well. This is where it all went left. The young lady and I both appeared to be waiting for an order. A Chipotle associate comes to the young lady and asks her name then proceeds to check on her order. She comes back and gives her an update. The associate looks at me and doesn't acknowledge me. Strange, but OK. The young lady gets her food and leaves. I wait another five minutes then stand up. The man at the register asks what I need almost in an annoyed tone. I tell him my name and that I'm waiting for my order. He then says he doesn't have an order with my name. He checks the system and says it has to be remade. No apology or anything. I don't get my order until 1:21. He hands it to me. Again, no apology or anything. I go to the car, check my order and see they forgot my queso. I go back in and let him know. He checks my receipt, has someone make it all while he proceeds to ring another customer up first. He then hands me the queso and STILL doesn't apologize or anything. It felt like I was treated with disregard because I was Black. It was so rude and disgusting. You all don't have to worry about...
Read moreThis restaurant was the worst I've ever seen tonight and I frequent this restaurant. At 7:40 PM I came to this restaurant only to wait almost 40 minutes to be able toplace my order and get my food. The workers were not attentive to the customers and laughing and talking amongst themselves. They were out of pico de gallo and lettuce. Never apologized for not having and never offered to replace with a drink or anyting. The temperature of the food was not hot and it's like they didn't care when they made your order stuff was just slopped in the pan. The biggest irritation I met on this visit as well as other customers met on this visit is them stopping from making orders on the inside to fulfill orders that were called in or app orders or doordash orders. There should be a system where there's one or two people responsible for making those orders and that the people on the inside are continued to be served. The line was wrapped around the restaurant and it didn't seem like they cared at all. No apology was given, and I've never seen this restaurant be out of so much stuff. The chips I ordered were very minimal compared to what I'm used to receiving so I don't know if they were almost out of those as well. No pico de gallo and no lettuce. So they were standing there taking the salad lettuce and squeezing it in their hands to break it up. It was very unprofessional.i hope this issue is addressed promptly. And I didn't speak to someone there about the problem because the people that were there were acting unprofessional so obviously the on duty manager was one of those people so I wasn't talking to them about the problem when they were part of...
