I have a thing for cocktail lounges and once I saw the menu and ratings, I thought itād be a great vibe to kick off a Saturday night on the town with my family visiting me, to show all Greensboro has to offer. Wrong. To start, we stood inside for about five minutes. Very tight spot, but that was okay as there was also some outside seating we planned to explore. Also, not a very diverse crowd, but that was not an issue. When we finally got up to the bar, we noticed there was only one bartender. He was smiling and casually socializing with other patrons sitting at the bar for maybe 3-4 minutes as he made drinks, glancing over at us a time or two. Finally, he turned, acknowledging my cousin and I before flashing an unwelcoming, borderline āyouāre ruining the vibeā look. NO greeting might I add. And right as I leaned in closer to speak to ensure he could hear me over the music, very sternly, he said āThereās a ten minute wait.ā before immediately turning and continuing to socialize in the opposite direction. I cannot make this up. Seriously, who says that?! It literally felt like a high school teen movie, ārejection from the cool kids tableā scene. Someone else who was already sitting at the bar with a group overheard and turned to look at us then back at him with a raised eyebrow to indicate they also knew it sounded weird. No āIāll be right with youā or even a simple āhow yāall doing tonightā? My cousin is a former server and bartender and even she couldnāt find a reason to justify. If youāre overwhelmed, hire some HELP, though Iām not even sure that was the cause considering the distinct flip-flop of energy. I HATE to ever feel like a place is unwelcoming based on ANY factors, but everyone with me felt very uncomfortable and we ended up going elsewhere and having a great time. I considered testing it out and giving it another ābenefit-of-the-doubtā try on a solo night, but itās left a bad taste in my mouth and Iām writing this a full month later. Word of advice: making a good drink is only...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery fun cocktail place. Bar on one side with high tops along the walls, band playing on the other side with more seating. The menu was exciting and clearly well thought out. There was a consistent theme for drinks, practically everything had a creative twist to it, and everything we tried was well made. I have only visited once, but the bartender working was an absolute machine. There seemed to about as many people as the place could handle and he was non-stop mixing complicated drinks with speed, accuracy, and a smile on his face. I would seriously go back just to see...

I actually ran into the owner across the street from this establishment before he opened and it was still just a dream. His passion for cocktails is infectious. I find myself wanting to learn every detail about the drinks he makes.
There's so much I could say about how fantastic this place is. Let me put it succinctly though: fair prices, delicious drinks,...
