This establishment is known to have the local college students come and do their studies quietly in a serene environment. This was not the case for my daughter who was targeted. She was approached by an older gentleman; most likely the owner of the establishment and was told she “need to leave” if she isn’t going to buy anything. My daughter went to defense and argued that she had been to the location on several different occasions to do her studies, also with other students and was not aware of the policies which indicated “no outside food/drink” or the policy “ you must make a purchase to partake there”. Keep in mind that she has been attending there since the start of the school year. The older man harassed her, trying to intimidate her by standing arms folded tapping his foot beside her, taunting her to leave. He leaves and returns back initiating the same behavior. It is the establishments responsibility to make the rules clear to its customers on what’s acceptable or not. It’s not the responsibility of the guest to “guess” what those outlines are. And not one time has the business made it clear to its customers what’s expected; there are no visible signs on the door indicated such. In all honesty it felt more racially motivated. I’m glad my daughter stood her ground and demanded respect because it’s instances like this that require a rude awakening. This situation could have gone far left due to this “man’s” rude and abrupt behavior. There are ways to appropriately approach, and de-escalate an issue if trained properly on business mannerisms and professionalism. Nevertheless this is a young female adult. Parents it doesn’t matter how old your offspring is… be their voice because Profiling is real, discrimination is real and these businesses that practice unethical behavior shouldn’t be supported. No response required and no apologies accepted. By the way try the “Angela Bassett” it consist of “dark chocolate”? While the Marilyn consist of “white chocolate”? And that’s...

I'm writing this review from my experiences at the existing Common Grounds in Lindley Park.
The history of Common Grounds it was the brainchild of my cousin Dustin Keene.
I remember him mentioning to me that he was going to start a coffee shop and what I did not know he was going to add so much attention to detail and quality that he would be adding a community fixture to Lindley Park as well as Greensboro.
This is the type of place that you could transplant to a major city's best neighborhood and have the residents adopt the place in a month...
Though it is called Common Grounds it could be called Uncommon because that is the engaging experience that you get in this locally owned business that will now be a fantastic addition to...
