Hi, I hope all is well. My friend and I visited this rooftop on a Friday around 3:20 after work for the first time just for drinks because we saw the great reviews; however, we did not have a good experience. Our sole issue was customer service. My friend entered first and once I got there she revealed to me no one had yet greeted her but I looked past it because maybe the people who were working were upstairs. We followed the sign to go upstairs and no one was there, so I proceeded to ask for further directions from the balcony leading with āHi, excuse me!ā We were instructed to come back downstairs, where we were from the beginning, & order because no one was upstairs. Okay fine. We get back downstairs & proceed to ask questions but were given very short, single- worded answers to every question we had. The bartender was not rude; however, she displayed a very apathetic attitude towards our presence so we left & came to the Borough Market & Bar which was a very different, much more pleasant experience from the walk in. Out of the whole experience, I must give credit to the man who was walking in and asked about the music (I think he worked there) and greeted us with a smile and energy after I spoke to him. This review is not to leave a negative connotation but it is to simply shed light on the importance of customer service. A smile and simple hello changes some oneās day especially after a long day of work when you just want to laugh and drink with your homegirl. I hope Greensboro treats you all better than we were & I wish this business nothing...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOn 8/6 we visited 113 for a night out without kids. Weāve been here before and is one of our spots we frequent when we go downtown. As we walked up a line was forming outside, so quick tip get there early. They had live music from a local band which was decent, but Iām sure most people in greensboro like us donāt really go to these places for the music, itās more to meet friends and to be in a safe and relaxing atmosphere which 113 definitely achieves both. We spoke with one of the owners, who weāve seen walking throughout the bar continuously before, It was his night off so we stopped him just to let him know how great of a place this is and how Downtown Greensboro really needed something like this. He was super friendly and engaged into our conversation. We canāt say enough good things about this place except our night got better. As the band proceeded to take a break the owner announced on stage that he had a special guest that was going to play a few songs. That special guest was Nashville singer/song writer Taylor Phillips. We did not know who this was so we googled him. Not only is he from Sanford NC, he has written multiple hits including hurricane/Luke combs, homesick/ Kane brown, and multiple other songs with very successful artist. This guy was amazing and kudos to 113 to have talent from Nashville and to get a Nashville vibe on this night. I really hope this happens more often as it made the night...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAbsolutely love the scenery love the outdoor and indoor seating. I love that they have the option of taking the elevator and multiple levels. So Iāve been to this bar on a dead day ( meaning not too many people maybe a handful) and the service was okay the price are okay not something I was make a go to spot on my night out. I tried this bar again on a very busy day it was the food truck festival. The bouncer was overly aggressive about a wrist band that I received at another bar which he couldāve just asked for me to remove it but whatever. Whatever makes him feel big and bad *eye rolling * finally got up to the bar area and stood at the bar waiting for service I stood there for at least 20 minutes while the bartender served everyone around me including everyone who walked up. He avoided eye contact with me even waited on the opposite side of the bar for a guy to finish his conversation and served him. At this point I was over it so I left without being served long story short the bar service was borderline rude, bad attitude. The awesome rooftop almost makes this place worth it but not still not worth...
