This place has went downhill. The cashier's do not know what they are doing. I typically come here for a bagel, cream cheese and a small coffee every morning. On occasion maybe a chocolate chip muffin top in the afternoon. One afternoon I come here for a muffin top and the guy couldn't even count the right amount of change back to me and I waited in line waiting for the correct change. However, I never ended up with the exact change and left! Today, this morning I went for my typical breakfast. The cashier asked me what I would like. No hello, how are you and what can I get for you. It was more like me just repeating my order more than three times. I waited in line for ten minutes while the manager in the back assisted to coffees while there was a line more than six people waiting. As I waited for the only cashier to fill my order she kepts asking me as well as other customers what they had ordered. This is not considered outstanding customer service at all. I would recommend keeping customers recoepts and putting them in the customers bags right after filling the order. Especially if it just one cashier working the register and getting the orders. Panera use to be much better than this and I don't see any hope in this company like I use to. God forbid ordering a breakfast sandwich or an oatmeal because you will wait twice as long while more than two ppl are standing on the line. I'll go to Starbucks at least I can actually get hot coffee. It's like they leave the coffee sitting in the back and wait till it gets like warm and then runs out to the customers. I've witnessed an customer on Saturday September 18th, rudely enter Panera on Highwoods Ave. In Greensboro jump the line complaining about how she couldn't do an phone order, due to the fact that the store was slammed packed with only 2 employees on the floor. Not only that, she wanted an Breakfast order at 11:00. Even I know it was lunch time. Anyways, she proceeded to rudely make her way to the front of the line, demanding, an expired order. Those of us in line had been waiting for over 30 mins patiently. The woman ended up making such an ruckus, that employee Hudson still made her order despite it was no longer Breakfast hours. And received her order ahead of us whom had been waiting. I was disappointed to find out today that employee Graves had been fired because of this.i will no longer be attending this restaurant, reason being she was the best employee I've seen in this location in the past year. She was the reason I kept eating at this location with her niceness despite all the rude customers that she encountered. It always made my morning to be served by her. It is raining and 39 degrees, I have a toddler with me, there was NO ONE in the entire restaurant yet no one answered the phone after I called three times for my Curbside Pickup Order. Once I got my child out in the freezing rain to go inside to get my food, wondering how on earth I was going to carry a toddler, an umbrella AND my food (the sole purpose for ordering curbside) I asked to speak to a manager and was met by some guy who told me he didnt know why no one answered the phone and said they were “backed up”.... with no one in the entire place. He then proceeded to tell me that my “language” wasn’t necessary (sorry, but anyone with a young child can understand how frustrated I was at this point). So I told him my language was as necessary as the poor Google review he was about to receive. This has happened before at this location so shame on me for going back, but I will NEVER come here again, and will definitely spread the word to my friends and family, and social media followers.
