I am so sorry! We were so impressed with our service we completely forgot to take photos!
The awesome: the bread was absolutely amazing! Homemade, hot and fresh with soft almost chewy texture, hands down the best bread served at any Italian restaurant in town.
We tried the calamari and again the best in town; lightly friend and so tender this dish didn’t last long and at this point we forgot to take pictures.
The good: my son had the pasta and meatballs and enjoyed it very much while I tried the Tour of Italy comprised of lasagna, fettuccine Alfredo and veal parmigiana. Nicely baked and very filling. The veal was slightly salty for my taste and that is how I knew that the dishes were not inter mixed since each tomato based sauce had its own flavor.
Service: Jenny has been a staple for 8 years and very attentive and thoughtful. 5 stars!!
Atmosphere: After 30 years of business it has certainly become a locals favorite. Classic Italian decor was expected albeit slightly tired. However the booth seating allows for comfortable conversation and home style comfort.
Overall: the family arrived directly from Italy over 30 years ago and Cero, owner chef, is personable and hard working. The food is comfortable and tonight we hit a few highs that will bring us back to try other dishes.
Highly recommended to support a local family business and if you’re searching for classic comfort Italian food in a setting that promotes conversation and bonding with your...
Read moreI've been hard pressed to find ANY Italian restaurant that was even half way decent, but finally found an incredible Italian spot worthy of dining at!!! I'll start with: my hubby is Italian/Sicilian, I've lived in Italy and know authentic Italian food, we're both born and raised NY'ers. With that said, here goes: The owners are very hospitable and advised of main dishes that were simply exquisite. We started with antipasti consisting of fried calamari and capreze. Both were as perfect, fresh as it could be and calamari was perfect consistency - not at all rubbery!! Next, house salad with the house dressing. I'm typically not a "house dressing" kinda gal, but again, perfection. We were served homemade bread with their own dipping oil. My entree, Penne Rustica (penne w/shrimp, chicken, bacon in a lightly creamy alfredo sauce) was AH-MAZING!!!! My hubby had a dish that had fettuccine, chicken, sun dried tomatoes, with a pinkish cream sauce (can't remember the name of it!!). All I can say is, you just really HAVE to try it. We usually bring half our dinner home, but we both managed to devour our meals. We're excited to come back and will go outside our bubbles to try some of the other dishes we would not dare try at other places. This restaurant is authentic,...
Read moreWe drove to Vito’s to enjoy our 35th wedding anniversary. We have eaten at Vito’s and had great food and experiences in the past. It always felt like a nice, warm, comfortable, and friendly place in the past. Sadly, that was not the case tonight. Our waitress thought it was hilarious when we comment the tea was unsweetened and brought a cup of warm water to the table with one cube of ice floating. Each time a refill was needed, we had to ask for it and repeatedly needed to ask for ice to go with the water. It seemed to bother the waitress when we requested items. They were busy so we didn’t mind the wait for our food but the appetizer and entree arrived to the table at the same time. We had to ask for the dressing that came with the wings. The waitress did bring both kinds of dressing, but both were so watered down it tasted too horrible to eat. Mind you it is very cold outside, down in the lower teens when we arrived, each time the door to the kitchen was opened we could feel a very cold breeze flowing across the restaurant creating less than comfortable temperatures in the dining area. Our main entree was actually good but the service, drink issues among other things caused us not to enjoy the entree, so we hurried up to leave. We will not...
