I had a bad nightmare tonight, I thought,, then realized it was real life š Cold chips, inedible steaks, terrible margaritas, greasy hamburgers . I mean you could not get any worse. I chose this ONLY because it was the ONLY sit down restaurant open at the time . I should have went to McDonald's and now I know that. First issue, I was given a menu that said "scan to view full menu" which was beyond irritating for me . Considering if they are giving these long laminated menus advertising 3 mixed drinks they have , they could have given a WHOLE menu because sanitizing those would be the same as sanitizing a full menu . Pointless. So as my anger begin to rise I scanned my code taking me to the menu in which it did NOT show the pricing for each item. No big deal about the pricing but some people like to know those things before ordering. Then I made the biggest regret of my life, that led me to pray that I had DeLorean to go back in time and take back the mistake I had just made.. just that ONE mistake, and that says alot because I'm not the best decision maker. It happened, I ordered a Ribeye steak šš» I know it isn't a "steak house" BUT nothing else was appealing whatsoever. So it came , but when I bite that steak or TRIED to bite that steak, let me tell you , I didn't . It was the hands down worst thing I have ever put in my mouth . EVER . In 26 years. When I'm 80 I will still be haunted with the taste on my tongue. So I tell the waiter who I WILL say was so sweet and overworked , to explain the predicament. I had decided to just have them bring some loaded mashed potatoes. He insisted that they cook me something different (very kind) . So I did . Something SIMPLE , not complex in any way. A bacon cheeseburger with loaded fries . My fiancĆ© had finished his food by the time mine showed up. I looked and knew . This was also a disaster in the making . Thinking yet again of how good that DeLorean sounded . I peeled the bun back to see undercooked bacon, and an extreme amount of grease coming for someone who considers grease her favorite food . Just imagine cooking French fries at home and just dumping the whole pot of grease on the burger you just made. That's what this was . I tried it anyways as looks can be deceiving, AT TIMES . This was NOT one of those "times" . It was horrible . I picked the burger up squeezed it to show my fiancĆ©. Grease poured out like water from a faucet. Thinking at least I have bacon cheese fries to dabble in . I dabbled . Now, at this point I'm ready to give my big toe for that DeLorean. They were translucent almost from the amount of grease in those as well as if they had cooked 29.5 times . Fries. Just fries. I was in disbelief at this moment of my life. Nowhere messes up bacon cheese fries. But they say there's a first for everything and the time had came . I ordered a drink from the bar,a strawberry lemonade margarita to be specific. Let me tell you, that is as specific as you need me to be one that one. You won't need to try it as it was so bad I couldn't tolerate it. Shockingly enough. I asked for a different drink . It was last call so I said "just bring me TWO blackberry margaritas". Given this was after the steak ordeal and I knew I would need anything I could get to ease my troubled mind. They arrived. Just as bad as the first one. I chugged them down as fast as humanly possible to confuse my gag reflex into accepting them. After ALL of this I told my fiancĆ© "just go to the car" . He is a reserved individual, and I'm the spicy sidekick. I knew he wouldn't want to be around for what was about to go down. I called for the manager and did the grease demonstration on the burger infront of her and even though I had done this once infront of my fiancĆ©, and this was the second squeeze. It still flowed like a faucet. As suspected. She was very apologetic and removed the items from the bill. If my escapade didn't teach you anything then by all means go. But take my forewarning and do NOT be the one in the booth praying for the DeLorean to appear. God be with you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am editing my review of this particular Chili's because, as a food service professional, I believe in 2nd chances. After the 2nd chance, and several more, this Chili's has definitely changed our mind!! Each time we have been since my last review(probably around 5 times) the service has been amazing! Each time the manager is walking around checking on people to make sure they are enjoying their food and service, which, have been a manager before, that is one of the most important things to do!!! Would definitely suggest going here to anyone, now!!!
1st review: Food is AMAZING!! HOWEVER....the service we received was terrible! The young blonde girl server does NOT need to work in customer service, and definitely not food service! It took FOREVER for her to greet us! My daughter asked for a Strawberry Shirley Temple instead of cherry, so the girl looks at me and says, "she's not going to be drinking a lot of that is she, because my bartender will get mad at me, because I have to get the strawberry from them!" I didn't even answer that dumb question! We told her we were ready to order as well, and she seemed mad! I mean we WERE sitting there for 10 minutes before she acknowledged us.She brought our drinks, and we were waiting on our appetizer.... And we waited, and waited....we orders chips and salsa....nothing had to be cooked!!! Finally another server brought our appetizer, and apologized that our server must have been super busy. Well, 5 minutes later our server comes with chips and salsa, reeking of cigarette smoke and cheap perfume! Our food arrives, but on the way to our table, she stops at another table, picks up dirty plates and napkins, & places it on the tray with our food!!! My husbands order is wrong, she looks at the ticket and says "no its right", and we explain to her, " no he ordered it with cheese only" and she then says "oh, well I rang it in right" all she had to do was take the plate that had tomatoes, lettuce, guacamole, cheese and sour cream on it, to the back, ask for a side of just cheese, and bring of back. But no, it took her 11 minutes to do that, because she stopped to whisper to a coworker, stopped by a dirty table, went to the back, walked around the restaurant, went to the POS, and then came to our table and asked if everything was OK with my husband meal because he hadn't started eating. He told her it was because he was waiting on the cheese she was suppose to bring him. It still took her 2 more times coming to our table to bring it to him. By this time she could tell we were fed up(or if she couldn't she is as dumb as she acts) so she told us to pick out desserts and it would be on her! So after we eat, I tell her what we want, and to make it to go, and we needed a couple of boxes. It takes about 15 minutes for that, and I goto pay, and the dessert is on the bill. So I had to wait for her to come back which was another 10-15 minutes, even after trying to wave her down, she would quickly turn her head as if she didn't see me. So I stand up and start looking for a manager and she runs to the table. I told her "I thought you said the dessert was on you?" She said "oh I have to take it off, my bad!" She took it off, and I paid. When it was time to leave the tip, she got $0.14! I have worked in the food service industry....I was a server for 12 years, and a serving manager for 4! I know you have off days, but YOU NEVER MESS UP A FAMILIES DINNER THAT FREAKING MUCH! We were there way too long, and it was all because she is an ignoramus! My 6 year old daughter could have done a better job!
Wish we had have asked for the guy who served us before.....Matthew I believe! He was the best server we have ever had at this chili's in a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy family and I went to Chiliās yesterday (6/1) we were kindly greeted by a really polite host, he held the door and sat us on the left side of the dining room. We sat waiting for roughly 15 minutes without ever being greeted by our server. Honestly I started to think maybe we were just sat in a section without a server honest mistake? Wrong. Come to realize our server JJ (blue hair) walked by our table at least five times without saying a word. Finally made it to the table to tell us sheād be back, another 5-10 minutes goes by.(everyone in her section has gotten and left at this time). See Iāve worked in the service industry hosting, serving and bartending for the past ten years. I completely understand being busy or just simply having a bad day. Iām a very observant person you kind of need to be when you work in this field. I witnessed miss maāam laughing, smiling and looking at customers phones having great banter with just about everyone she came in contact with. This is why Iām so upset and disappointed with the service my family and I received. Iām not sure as to what her problem was, her demeanor completely changed for the worst. There was no smile she was very monotoned just all around a very unpleasant interaction. We ordered our drink and food all in one go, made it very manageable. She brought our drinks then proceeded to giggle with her coworkers and started to clean her section. My husband ordered a beer during the ordering process. 10-15 mins goes by finally she brings the beer to the table. Iām not a dummy, I work at a brewery/bar that beer sat there at the bar for a good while before she brought it. No foam, it was warm. She knew she shouldnāt have served that as she peered over the corner to see if we noticed. Ofcorse we noticed thereās barely anyone in the restaurant, itās not ever slightly busy. What Iāve come to terms with is that she just didnāt want to be there, was just too busy worried about cleaning up and clocking out. Our food came out wrong plates, we were missing two items.(not her fault thatās on the kitchen) she brought out the missing items after letting the food runner know. Still so worried about chatting with coworkers and cleaning her section never bothered the check in to make sure we were enjoying our meal. If I needed something I had to flag her down every time, her disgusting attitude made me feel like I was the problem. Thatās just completely unacceptable, we were nothing but Patient and polite. Our bill came out the $88 and some change, again Iām a server/bartender I leave a 25% tip every time I go out. The service was so awful I wouldnāt even leave that girl a crusty dollar I found on the bottom of my shoe from a gas station bathroom floor. I refuse to make a scene so I told my family to go wait in the car that I need to speak to someone. The GM wasnāt there so the sweet bartender directed Iām guessing FOH manager Bailey over the me I spoke with him. Very apologetic just said all the things a manager is supposed to say. I was so upset and overstimulated by the situation tears began to stream down my face and I left the building. To top it all off it was my birthday. This is by far the worst service Iāve ever had, all I can reiterate is this is completely unacceptable. To whoever does the hiring process you should really rethink and reevaluate...
