Sadly, even the food can't provide redemption for this restaurant. My order was given to the wrong person. When I arrived and that was discovered, I was assured my order would be remade "right away". Not wanting to impose too much on the staff, whom I originally assumed were busy (soon discovering my assumption to be both generous and wrong), I waited 15 minutes for my order while the staff labored to complete the monstrous backlog of orders, that is, 2 or possibly 3. After another customer came inside from the drive thru, having waited for 15 minutes at the window and expressing concern for the other customers having to wait, and asked about his order, I finally went forward to ask about mine. I found that it had been sitting on the shelf for ten minutes, which I knew because I watched them put it there. I chalked it up to the apparent indifference of low wage workers and blamed the faceless corporate overlords for not paying well enough to engender an attitude of ownership in the line workers... That is, until I arrived at my car and nearly drove away before, to my surprise, my daughter found her 1 of our total 3 items missing. Yes, 1/3 of our order was missing. I took the bag back and asked them about it, and lo, it was misplaced. Again. This time I caught it before it was given to someone else, but on a hunch I thought to check the other item. By this point I was somewhat less surprised to find that the second of my three items was missing its chicken, sour cream, cheese and vegetables. There were more things missing than present on the entree! The worker told me she thought all of the items were veggie, even though the first veggie item was actually missing the first time and the parts that were actually veggies in this second item were missing anyway. After a delightful discussion about whether I should read each ingredient to her while she made the tacos, or whether it would be better for her to read it from the ticket I held out to her, I found I was wrong -- it would have been better to read it to her, as we never did get the veggies. I couldn't tell because the toppings were not added to the tacos per se, rather to the bowl that held them. After heading back to the car and discovering the missing side of chips that comes with the kids meal, I made my third trip inside to hang my head and wring my hands while asking sheepishly if I could have all the food for which I had prepaid. I felt properly chagrined as the worker glared at me while handing me the tiny bag of chips, and I felt the distinct impression it would be a good idea not to impose upon her or anyone else at that store ever again.
With that, we left with our pyrrhic victory in hand, and we all wondered why I hadn't just gone to Chick-fil-A as...
Read moreSo, today I decided to make the unfortunate decision to satisfy my craving for some Chipotle⦠What made the decision an unfortunate one you ask?
Well, it started when I walked in at about 11AM or so to see that only one patron was sitting down and eating and there was no line to wait in so I was first. I told the worker that I had two orders, the first was for a bowl and the second was for a burrito. Through her mask, the employee requested that I repeat the order over the unnecessarily loud music that was being played. I then explained to her that the music is extremely loud and itās very difficult to hear her. She simply responded with , āI knowā and continued on. I asked her for white rice and pinto beans for my bowl, and she tried to give me almost no rice and a heaping spoon of black beans. Once that was corrected, we moved on to the protein section where I asked for double meat for both carnitas and barbacoa and she proceeded to try and give me steak and very little barbacoa to which I had to correct her again and inform her that I wanted double meat and she proceeded to give me pinches of meat for each, and I explained to her that she can feel free to give me more since I asked for it.
Now, we are at the salsa, cheese, sour cream and lettuce section (no guacamole was present) and I asked for tomatillo salsa and red salsa and then she asked me, āwhatās tomatillo?!ā I explained to her that the green salsa is called tomatillo. Lastly, I asked for a couple of cups of vinaigrette and she told me that they were out of that.
Needless to say that my burrito order was pretty similar to my bowl order where this employee persisted with trying to give me very little protein when I clearly asked for double⦠Itās almost as if the employee has to ration the supply for the company or itās like these servings are actually coming out of their own pockets. Iāve given this establishment three chances to make it right and today theyāve sadly struck...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve had inaccurate orders at this location before, but this last one takes the cake. My chipotle order is a burrito bowl consisting of 9 ingredients. They got 3 correct. Sadly it was a pickup order so I did not know this until I got home. I was given brown rice rather than white, the sour cream was in the bowl not on the side (I get it on the side because they put an ungodly amount in even if you ask for a light portion) and the missing ingredients were veggies, pico salsa, verde salsa and lettuce. So I got to eat my sour cream soup with chicken corn and cheese. chefs kiss The listed hours are to 11pm, but they locked the doors at 7:30, stopped replenishing food and started turning customers away. This is why they were out of nearly everything. instead of informing me that they were unable to complete my order, they just handed me a half-complete order (half is generous) and figured I wouldnāt notice until after I had left. Extremely immature. Be an adult and tell me youāre low on ingredients. I would have cancelled my order and gone through a drive thru somewhere else. Instead I sat there for 40 min waiting on something I didnāt want. Hopefully the chipotle location coming to TR will be up to brand standards because Iām not coming back...
