There is a handicapped ramp & stairs leading up to this "coffee shop", which is convenient. This place is as bad as the name. Once you go in the shop you're struck by how bare the place is. I should have gotten pictures. I'm not talking about minimalist, which is probably what they're going for, but lots of random empty space. Where a menu or chalkboard could be on the wall (you know, for ordering) is a couple of wreaths. The "menu" is found on one 8½ x 11 sheet of paper in a stand. They pour only double shots of espresso, which means if you want a single or triple shot you can't have it. They have no heavy cream or whipped cream only half & half. There is only one size blended drinks. The coffee price is moderate. The coffee quality is terrible. . .it's bitter, hard on the stomach & not smooth at all. The baristas were not very communicative with me or even each other. I asked questions that went unanswered. Basically, if you want to overpay for a lacking experience...
Read moreI really liked the vibe of this place until today. I have been now 4 times. The first 3 were good experiences. Today not so much. Perhaps I didn't fit the look as I just came from a early PT session. The woman at the register was not as welcoming as I decided on my cup. Why let me decide over 3 options to tell me the one I selected was out. This was my 3rd pour over and the to go cup was half full. I noticed it looked low when she capped it but didnt didn't realize how low until I walked out and opened it. I went back and she said that was the amount for a pour over. Except that is not what I had previous. To further the disappointment in this visit, it was luke warm. I finished the "cup" of coffee in less than 8 minutes. The 3 stars are for the previous visits. If just today it...
Read moreI have to travel from Asheville once a month for the entire day, and I’ve tried a few local cafes, but nothing has stood out. When I saw they carry Cooperative Coffee, I had to check it out. This place is tucked away down a back road at a quiet intersection. Plenty of parking. Friendly staff, wide open space- industrial feel, plenty of seating (couches, regular chair/tables, benches, small outdoor tables). They make some of their syrups in house, carry oat and almond milk for all the non-dairy people. I had an iced almond milk latte (there’s no added sugar in the almond milk), and it was great. Love that you have the option of a real glass or mug- cuts back on a lot of waste. I’ll definitely be back. As a seasoned barista, I appreciated the warm welcome and helpful...
