Harvey's The Breakfast Place, LLC — Restaurant in Greenville

This is the second time in 2 months that we have went to Harvey’s. It used to be a wonderful breakfast place. I think they have changed ownership. I don’t know what in the world is going on. They can’t organize at all!! On our first visit, it was a Saturday morning, so we forgave that it took 30 minutes for our food. But today it was a Tuesday morning at 9:30 am. It took 40 minutes for our food. BREAKFAST FOOD! Eggs, bacon, grits. And they can’t use the “not enough help” excuse because there were 5 people working and the inside dining wasn’t even full. The owner never even apologized!! IMO, I think the people dining in should get priority. I think they are focused too much on call in and take out orders and the dine-in patrons get slighted. If they can’t prioritize and work more efficiently, then people are going to stop coming. EVERYONE was complaining about their wait time. I can honestly say that we won’t be going there again. We will go to Waffle House or the other breakfast establishments that don’t take as long. It’s sad because we really did like the food here. Poor customer service will destroy...

The food was delicious. However, I ordered a cheese biscuit which I never received. I had to remind the waitress that she never bought it to me and she needed to remove it from my bill.

My mother was with me and asked for hazelnut creamer for her coffee, but the waitress told her they only served plain creamer. However, she said the staff had French vanilla creamer on the back, and she would bring us some of that. We thanked her for being willing to do so. When she returned to our table, she never mentioned creamer again and never provided any flavored creamer.

As for the atmosphere, there's nothing special about it. Customers can either sit in a booth or on a stool at a bar. I don't recall seeing any tables. Considering the age of the building and lack of remodling, the restrooms are very outdated. They are so small that I seriously doubt they can pass the handicapped accessible stamp of approval. If you sit on the commode, you can reach out in front of you and touch the wall.

From the time we arrived not one staff member acknowledged us, we had to literally ask for a table. After we sat down a white waitress took our drink order as well as our food order. Took her roughly about 15 mins to bring us our drinks…we waited another hour and a half and noone ever brought our food. They kept serving other people who were there way after us. We also noticed that again the waitress kept going around to each table refilling everyone elses drinks but would skip our table. I strongly believe that it was a racial issue since our table were the only hispanics there and everyone else were white. We noticed that she gave the cook our order last and that is what made us get up and leave. As well as write this review. Yall have got to do better!! This was our first time and last!! I will make sure to let people know not to even consider eating here unless they are white since they only seem to serve them. This place is unprofessional, dirty and over all unorganized. Shame on the owner!! Again first and last time damn waffle house would of never treated...
