I came in tonight and ordered my food with no vegetables. The man confirmed "no vegetables" twice. When I picked it up it was busy so I didn't check. I went home and opened it and it was full of vegetables. I called and she rudely said "being it back then". I brought it back and the female cashier was extremely nasty to me. So nasty that another customer pointed it out. She argued with me that I didn't say what I said 4 times before a man came up and agreed to what happened on the phone. She took my plate back into the kitchen. It had already been at my house, within 10 feet of my dog, and here it was, next to all of your meals. Another customer saw it and came up to me. She said "she's picking things off. I don't want to eat here". I was really hoping she was just going to give it back to me. Extremely lazy and poor customer service, but not as disgusting as saving it for someone else. All I wanted was a decent dinner. If your trip is not bad, it will still only ever be decent. But this was just astounding. Never in my life have I seen that. I still don't know what she did with my old food. I left and couldn't bare to eat there after seeing their sanitation standards or lack thereof.

Read moreIt was ok to satisfy a Japanese craving without having to leave the parking lot (was at a couple places in the same shopping center), but it wasn't great. First off many of the rolls were made with Mayo vs the normal cream cheese. They changed it on request and for an upcharge, but still odd I had to ask. Hibachi was pretty good, but I asked what veggies were in the meal and was told mushrooms were in the mix, but no mushrooms came with the meal. The veggies were a little heavy on the onion which is obviously the cheapest item. Steak was surprisingly good and tender, cooked well. The chicken had been previously cooked and was dry and tough. It was also odd that they had cheap hot sauce in a Sriracha container for condiments (not the right color, not thick enough, smelled too much of vinegar), their pink sauce that you get at many Japanese places was more like just plain mayo, barely any flavor, and their ginger sauce I'm pretty sure was just teriyaki as they tasted the same. Service was fast and friendly though. I went in with lukewarm expectations, but it was still pretty meh. I would personally avoid joy of Tokyo in general if this is their...
Read moreSad to see what this place has sank too since the pandemic it's not even worth the money you pay try Atami,Osaka or Fuji if you enjoy this style of food the sushi roll had half a cucumber shoved in it and threw the whole flavor off, the portions are ridiculously small compared to other Joy of Tokyo Locations the cheapest ingredient of all..... rice, they skimp on. I feel the quality to service you receive can be met much better else where the highchair's were sticky and the bathroom's were dirty the food tasted like other location's but half the amount I would have driven 10 minutes more to not be hungry after I just spent $80 and the only compensation I was offered was to remake 1 of the 5 plates I bought the review used to be 4.3 when I found Joy of tokyo I now understand why it has a 3.7 star............. learn from our mistake and drive a little further! Side note veggies are now pre-made and not on the grill and are put in first to make it look like you get more meat this was the best looking plate if you could...
