Let me start this off by saying this place is not authentic Mexican food, but with that being said, it wasn’t bad food per se. my party of 2 had ordered various alcoholic beverages and 2 meals. The atmosphere was traditional Mexican, it was a clean restaurant; especially the silverware, plates, and glasses/cups. There was an order of 3 frozen margaritas- (2) Raspberry- this one had lots of flavor but not over powering. It comes with a lime and orange(idk y but it did). I would have liked it more if it came with actual raspberries to put in, sugar on the rim. I really liked this drink. (1) strawberry- this one didn’t have a good flavor at all, which is surprising because strawberry margaritas usually do. It also comes with a lime and orange( would be better with an actual strawberry) and sugar on the rim. (1) Beerrita- Corona was the choice of beer to go inside, it was overly sweet, would have liked it better if it had more of a citrus flavor to it. (1) Michelada- spicy tomato , rimmed with tajin and a wedge of lime, it was tasty, and huge! (2) water- the water was good, clean , crisp taste. Carne Asada taco plate- comes with 3 tacos, 1/2 cup of rice, 1/2 cup black beans. The rice is boxed not “homemade” and it definitely taste as such, disappointed in that. Black beans- were seasoned well, spicy. The tacos had two tortillas per taco(way too many) about 1/4cup of meat per taco , the meat was not seasoned in the traditional sense of what it should have been and it was not tenderized enough, it had more of a meaty flavor(which isn’t bad but it’s not a true flavor of this specific taco, utterly disappointed in that), garnished with cilantro. Taco salad- the bowl is a fried flour tortilla(crispy) filled with hamburger meat, some shredded lettuce (fresh), White crumbly cheese( this cheese is always good 😋), a butt load of sour cream( I don’t personally fancy sour cream, I’m more of guacamole type person). I did order extra rice for this meal and that came out on a long white plate(1/2 cup rice) still not homemade it came out of a box. I also ordered guacamole for the taco salad, that was good freshly made. The presentation for the food and drinks, were on point and it all looked good and tasted fine; just not authentic Mexican food and that was a bummer. Would I go here again? Yes, for the drinks only, the food...
Read moreI been going to this restaurant and my , friends for years. Today I was very disappointed with service and customer service. I came there today between 2:30-2:45. I asked to sit in the bar. The host brought me some salsa and chips. I waited over 20 mins before I was asked for anything to drink or place a order. Eventually I did get my food and drinks and I asked to listen to some music it took the young gentleman awhile to get the music together. So another came around the bar and didn’t speak or nothing. Eventually I was ready to go I asked for a to go plate. He said he was not on the clock ok. He brought back a to go cup. The first waitress his plate was full because he was working the dinning area and the bar. As asked for my Tab. I paid for it. I waited for my change. The older gentleman said to me. You should tip. This is full service restaurant. First of all I was here last week and I got good service and tipped. That’s why I came back today because I was expecting the same service. Which I didn’t received. Then he told me if I come back don’t complain if don’t get any service. That was very disrespectful. I called back to speak to the Manager he said he was manager. As I was addressing him he claimed he couldn’t hear me on the phone. I am very disappointed what he said to me and it’s my choice if I want to tip or not! They don’t ever have to worry about me or my family and friends ; associates returning...
Read moreI really don’t know what has occurred.... but the past couple of times my wife and I ordered from this restaurant, has been a terrible experience. First, we place the order...I asked the individual I was speaking with to repeat to me the order (confirmation) the individual does so. Then I get to the restaurant to pick my order up (check my order) and just like the time previously, my order was wrong. The individual that was checking me out at the register proceeded to take the order to the kitchen to inform the preparers that my order was wrong and I imagine clarify how the order was supposed to be.... The order was completed again wrong. Finally I get home and taste my food.... Again, more disappointment!.... Plaza Azteca used to be my wife’s and I favorite restaurant. I imagine, the only logical conclusion is; the chef that was there previously, no longer is. The salsa and the cheese sauce were both watery. The food didn’t have the proper seasoning.... To say the least, (although it probably doesn’t matter) they won’t have to worry about providing service to my wife and I anymore. I simply thought I’d inform you all, just in case someone within your company actually cares about how your customers feel about their experience at your restaurant.... With all of this being said, I...
