I've been going to this location for over 10 years. I had a "rough" experience a few months ago at 2 a.m. going through the drive thru after leaving the hospital with my son. The 3 ladies working were rude, short, and did not complete my order. They didn't bother to let me know the coffee machine "wasn't working" until I inquired about where my coffee was.
I called and spoke to the store manager (Shante) and insisted she give me the District Manager's name and number. She did so without hesitation, and even offered their boss's name and number. I never got that far, because NOT ONLY did she take the time to ask me about my experience and apologize WITHOUT EXCUSES, she sincerely cared about what happened to my son. She listened to me as long as I wanted to talk. She never rushed our conversation, she was never rude or short. She didn't make excuses about their behavior but instead we had a genuine conversation. I've been in the food service industry and I know what is included like- the amount of pressure, late nights, worry, pay, etc...so I understand their disposition, but it is still uncalled for in the service industry- regardless.
That was about Ocotober. I just had to go back to the hospital and she came up in conversation (bc we were talking about our last visit to the er)...and I stopped by just to see if she was there. She hugged me, remembered me well, and offered to buy dinner. She let me talk, listened with care, and offered her appreciation as a customer of theirs. She is AMAZING. There is NOTHING I could say negative about this place or her. I never had to call the DM, or anyone else and I've talked about her absolutely amazing response to dozens of people.
This may not be important to some people, but it is HUGE to me. I've been to "5-star" restaurants who care less than this and show no concern or care for their customers. I honestly feel as if I have a friend and will continue to stop in as often as I'm in the area. She is an AMAZING manager, and person. Things happen in the food industry, that's just reality, but I've yet to meet a person like this who truly cares about their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI just called there for my grandmother and asked if they sold breakfast. I'm sure by the sound of the voice, the lady who answered the phone was African American. She mumbled a few words that I could not understand, said we can't talk right now, we are serving lunch and hung up on me. Wow and that's exactly why I myself as an African American woman treat my customers at my job with the up most respect.
Update: on 11/4/2022 I went through the drive thru for a kids meal and a drink. The lady at the drive thru seems to have been frustrated, because she seemed snappy at every one and not to mention, she never asked what size drink I wanted. Well after sitting at the drive thru being stuck in the same spot for five minutes, I decided to drive off. As I was driving towards the front of the restaurant to exit the parking lot, I see a caucasian man walking through the parking lot, back into the building. a burgundy shirt on arguing with a customer, (male) and the guy was obviously with his wife and kids. Not to mention he obviously stayed over in the Augusta Rd area because I was him in my rear view mirror turned off in the neighborhood not far from mcdonald's. Now im assuming, since I didn't see the guy with the burgundy shirt exit a vehicle, that he might of been an employee of mcdonald's. I hoping that's not the case because arguing with a customer was unnecessary and embarrassing not to mention its not worth losing your life. I'm done with giving mcdonald's my money. Your company could learn a lot...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went in today to get a small snack. The wait at the drive through is usually long so I went inside and ordered at the kiosk. The dining area was clean and nice I liked the renovations. The wait for my food was longer than I expected for such a small order. People at the drive thru were probably having to wait a long time too. Tried to ask a question or two was ignored at first then finally got an answer to one of them. AnywayPart of it ywas a cup of water well when it was given to me it had a small black object floating in it at the bottom. So I asked for another cup of water, waited a few minutes the lady asked someone is that other water ready, another was given to me and it had light brown crumb like objects floating in it at the bottom. I tried to tell them about it too and was ignored so I left because It was just 19 cents for dirty water. I went elsewhere to get water had to spend $3 on it but it was clean bc it was bottled water. I got to the place I was headed (less than 3min away from McDonaldās) I parked and get ready to enjoy my apple slices and nuggets, weāll my 4piece nuggets looked like yesterday nuggets never seen McDonaldās nuggets look like that before esp at this location even when the service at the drive thru is bad. I didnāt feel like wasting gas going back and figured Iād get ignored again and no one answered when I called so I thought Iād just do a review. I wasted my money and could only eat the apple...
