I had the worst customer service experience I have ever had at the Planet Smoothie on Augusta Road this afternoon. I had a large (12 drink) order I was placing for takeout. I was told that the max order was 5 or 6 drinks otherwise it would be a catering order. There was no one else in the store when I was placing my order. She reluctantly agreed to take my order in 3 smaller orders of 5, 5 and 2 drinks. The person who waited on me was rude, aggressive and combative in her tone. I asked if the manager was there and she identified herself as the manager. When my work colleague joined me at the counter while I was placing the order she asked her if she was placing an order and when she responded that she was my work colleague she again asked if she would be placing an order and when she responded we were together she said, âwell why are you standing there, itâs weird!â Truly unbelievable!! Thankfully, another gentleman came in behind the counter and when I addressed him he said he was the owner and I told him I just experience the worst customer service I have ever had at an establishment. He was very kind and offered to comp some of our drinks and I declined, stating that I would just not return. I spend thousand of dollars per week in food and beverage for customers and have never had such an experience. I will not go back and I will take every opportunity to share this experience...
Read moreMy son went in last week and asked if there were gluten free options. The employee at the counter had no idea--guess she asked the owner or manager (?) who was standing nearby, who instead of responding directly to the customer, snidely asked her (where my son could obviously hear), "Does fruit have gluten?" The employee didn't do anything wrong, but she should have been trained in how to answer this question, especially since this is a franchise business that supposedly caters to health-conscious patrons. We know that fruit doesn't contain gluten, so this passive-aggressive response was unkind and unnecessary. Things that absolutely COULD and possibly do contain gluten are such menu items as orange sherbet, granola, and peanut butter powder, and if these do contain gluten and the blenders/other machinery are used with them/not cleaned thoroughly, they could transfer gluten to other smoothies that don't contain these ingredients. So THAT is the reason for the question. Hope others who are gluten-intolerant or Celiac don't have a similar encounter, but to be safe I would go elsewhere. We...
Read moreWhile I refrain from writing reviews, the level of poor customer service I encountered at Planet Smoothie compels me to share my experience.
Upon entering, I was met with an unwelcoming attitude from the young woman behind the counter. She appeared visibly irritated by the simple task of taking my order and responded to questions with curt, one-word answers accompanied by eye rolls. Her demeanor was not only dismissive but also highly unprofessional. When I respectfully asked to speak with a manager due to her inappropriate behavior, she claimed to be the manager herself.
My experience was wholly unacceptable. I will not be returning to this Greenville location and will take all of my customer catering elsewhere. I encourage Planet Smoothie to re-evaluate their hiring and provide proper training to ensure staff deliver an appropriate customer...
