This one star constitutes for how awesome their salad bar is. The other four blanks where stars should be are left blank for failing me for the last time. It was myself , my wife and my three children age 9 (birthday girl), 9 and 1. I order the Burbon Bacon Burger, the shrimp and steak for my wife, fries and chicken tenders and fries and sliders for the big kids. Macaroni and green beans for the kids. They brought the kids food out early. Way earlier than we got our food. They served my kid and adult macaroni with I'm assuming asiago cheese. He started eating it after analyzing for a moment but we had a kids menu and were ordering for kids and we get that. It was fine, they brought a kids mac soon enough. I asked for a water with lemon and received plain water. That's fine. She brought lemons eventually. I ordered a Caesar salad and received fries with my food. I got my salad quite a bit before that but my wife had nothing until she received all of her food. Not sure if the fries were a minor oversight or an attempt to make us happy. Whatever I'll keep going. We asked for refills and the waitress took my kids cup and did not return for some time. The manager brought our refills and the mac. My food was hotter than my wife's. I didn't care about piping hot food but my wife does and she got to eat her no so hot food last. I ate my salad and the extra fries and mac came in handy so the kids didnt have to awkwardly watch us eat. My food was amazing...when I got it but I chose to wait for my wife to eat so we could enjoy our lukewarm meals together. Her steak was good but the shrimp were cold and awful. She had a loaded baked potato. It looked sad. She ate it though so it was probably fine. My daughter had the chicken tenders. She enjoyed them but the portions weren't nearly as good as the kids menu at Kick Back Jacks a week prior. My big son had sliders and no complaints from him. I talked my wife into the big "Top Shelf Margarita" thats usually $10 any other night but is $5 on Tuesday. She asked for a sugar rim. She received a salted rim and was unable to drink it. From what she did taste was no much if any alcohol. At that point we were pretty much burned out. So we're not going here any more unless its for that...
Read moreLast two visits some of the staff was rude, and disrespectful. Don't know what the deal is but this new bunch needs help. First, I get there maybe 2-3 mins before open. I go in through the "to go" door. I'm more than happy to wait knowing I have 2-3 before they are officially open. A group of staff were standing by the kitchen door. One waitress politely greeted and said someone would be with me shortly. Fine, thank you. Another proceeds to mumble under her breath, "We're not even open." The first waitress corrected her and said, "The doors are open." That was the first problem. Same visit, I wait 5min after they are officially open (mind you that group is still standing at the kitchen door). The bartender finally comes out to take my order ($5garden bar). She brings my plate, and the same waitress remarks, "A salad." while the others giggle and laugh and the bartender cracks, "Y'all are bad." So, my mind goes, "Do they really think I can't hear?" I then ask the bartender is there a problem. She acts as if she didn't hear me and walks off. Okay, I tell the manager. Thank you, bc he obviously handled it as I received side eye from the ones involved once they left the kitchen from being reprimanded, and everyone was on mute. And I proceeded to happily make my salad.
Second, and most recent (Sunday), I go out with my mom and brother. Everything was fine until the end. My brother goes to leave a tip for our waitress, but needs change. Rather than ask the waitress serving us he deems it more appropriate to go to the bar. He asks for change and rather than say, "Sure, one moment.", bc she was making drinks, she tells him to get it from our waitress. He explained why he didn't want to do that and that he doesn't mind waiting while she finishes what she's doing. There were also other people at the bar that could of helped him, but rather than getting them to do so, she huffs her way to asking them to finish the drink order(s), makes change (all ones), and basically throw it at him. I'm just glad he said nothing and took a walk outside.
The recent attitude of some of the staff needs to be checked before they catch someone less likely...
Read moreIF I could give a zero I would. Walked in the hostess was nice and sweet. About 5 min later, I see a young man come over and say he will be serving us and will be back. 20 min later, no server or drinks. I asked the young lady if she could help and was told she needs to get permission. As we are waiting to even get a sip of water 25 minutes later I am seeing our waiter running around trying to help people. I quickly see the issue, he is the only waiter for the entire side of the restaurant smh. He comes over and apologizes, and I feel so bad for him and tell him I know it's not his fault. Next issue, after getting my salad from the bar, I see a man come from the back with black shorts and a black long printed t-shirts with no sleeves and cut low under the arms. I then asked for the manager and tell her all the things about the service and the worker at the salad bar,. She tells me he is the dishwasher and the salad bar person called out so he is helping....I said dressed like that she said yes the GM allows them to dress like that, no apron or anything. The bar also closed because that person wasn't available to work, so I was forced to get a soda rather than my strawberry lemonade that is made by the bar. At the end, the salad guy, out of uniform, came to my table and asked if I had a problem with him because the manager told him what I said. I was blown away that this is how the manager would handle this situation smh. He talked over me, and basically, I said it wasn't appropriate. He begins to say how clean he was, all the while smelling like alcohol. Sorry for the length but unbelievable night of some of the most horrible services and a manager who could care less about the customers or the staff. I am extremely...
