Customer service was excellent while shopping for a piece to fit my space. However furniture I thought they picked up from me to donate to battered women was re-purposed/painted and put on display for sale in their shop. If I had known it was not truly going to the cause they stated, I would have never given it to them for free to then turn around and sell for profit; that’s something I would have done on my own.
Update to “Owners” response.
I was truly under the impression my table was being donated, to the cause which you told us was to battered women, something near and dear to my heart. When we inquired about the name of the organization, you couldn’t give us the name. While in your store to get clarity, the person we were talking to became defensive. As we shared in the store, we were charged for delivery $25 and we have the receipt. Also, while purchasing our item from you we disclosed where we were located and during that time, you had no issue (probably because you charged us $25 for delivery). As for the highly discount, which I observed you do with other customers, you gave to us; never once did you say during our encounter that the “discount” was for picking up our table. I even asked would there be a fee for picking it up and was told no.
I’m not sure if you can put yourselves in our shoes, but we really felt deceived and hurt when we saw our table for sale. You said in your response I was donating to a cause. If that’s so, why is it for sale? Why wasn’t it donated to one of the organizations you say you help? I think if there would’ve been more honesty, ownership and perhaps some empathy while at the store, things could have been different. The $150 will truly benefit someone in need.
It’s great to read you donate to all these organizations, because in the store, that was not shared with us when we kept inquiring about the donation to battered women. I wanted my table to go to battered women, and again in my original posting if I had known my table would be refurbished, I would have either sold it myself, or found a family in need and donated to them directly.
I’m not sure who exactly is responding to this post since you didn’t want to give your name, but proudly displayed mine which I’m OK with. If this is truly the owner responding, I was told you were out of town and on bereavement; may your loved one...
Read moreMy wife and I have visited the Venue on multiple occasions to browse. We had an old bed that was missing a detailed carving, and happened to find one in a bin on one of our visits. We did not expect it to be an exact match, but it turned out to be the exact part. We have purchased numerous hardware and other parts for projects. On this visit, I had no real hope of finding some wheels for a 1950s era doll crib I was restoring. I thought I might get lucky and find one or two that were close enough no one would notice. To my absolute astonishment, they had 4 of the same vintage wheel assemblies still in their original package. Funny part is the original price was still on the front listed at $0.75 from the 1950s, but I did not expect to pay that. Got the parts home and they fit perfectly, although it was a shame to take them out of the original package. I recommend stopping by frequently, because you never know what they...
Read moreAmazing antique shop! I love how you can find a few modern wholesale decor pieces up front…but that the store appears to be at a 30/70 ratio….with the 30 being decor/modern items and 70 being mostly vintage and antiques. They have a great balance here. I really liked the lack of big box wholesale type items made to look old. This was actually a big plus to me. You can tell the vendors/owners work together to carefully curate the rest with true vintage and antiques. I really loved the quality feel of this shop. Everything is also so beautifully arranged, and the folks here were very friendly. As soon as we walked in the door and as we were leaving they were enthusiastically greeting us/saying goodbye. My favorite booths were the vintage linens and the vendor with vintage advertising signs. 5 stars across the board and one of the best antique shops...
