Sloopy's — Restaurant in Greenville

My wife and I stopped in to Sloopy's for a bite to eat. My first impression when I walked in was that it's more of a bar instead of a restaurant. Wasn't very busy, we seated ourselves and waited for the waitress. Waitress arrived fairly fast. Being that it was our first visit, she gave us extra time to look over the menu. Don't know how much the waitress earns, but she defiantly deserves a good raise. She was super nice, and friendly. Not too many waitresses as nice as her! She took our order and we started with an appetizer and it wasn't no time at all that we received our appetizer. We ordered some type of combo which consisted of onion rings, fried Mac and cheese, fried mushrooms,and fried zucchini. It came out fresh and hot, and very good. My wife and I then ordered our main course meal. I had bbq wings. And like the appetizer, came out hot and very good. The waitress was prompt, and made sure our glasses of soda remained full. I would highly recommend this place. A definite 5 star place...

Today was my first time at Sloopy's to hear live music by Steve Lewis on the patio. Atmosphere was great! I ordered chicken chunks with my choice of 3 sauce that I got on the side. I was not disappointed in the flavor of the sauces and was extremely surprised at the pretty good size of the chicken chunks. The breading was good and tender all white meat. Highly recommend. I'm more picky when it comes to cheese sticks so, even though they were filling, they weren't my personal favorite. Also would like to mention that it was very reasonably priced. The waitress was very nice and I noticed that she tried her best to care for all the customers as best she could for as busy as it was both inside and outside the establishment. The live entertainment was just the icing on the cake to a beautiful outdoor evening. Dinner and live music on the patio on a beautiful night, what more could you ask for? Definitely will be back to try more food that I have heard so much about...

My husband and I came here for dinner on 8/8/25. We ordered and a cocktail and an appetizer. When our cocktails came, we ordered our meals. We had our appetizer and waited. We ordered another cocktail and waited and waited for our food. My husband finally asked where our food was and she told us we had already eaten. WHAT? She looked in her book and realized she had never turned the order in. Of course she apologized and said the manager would talk to us. Once we got our food, the manager said she would comp each of our meals 20 percent. Our bill was over $50, and the comp was less than $4.50. what the heck?!? We were terribly inconvenienced our time having been there over 2 hours. They could have comped a little bit more than they did. What a cheap outfit.
