I ordered online, and went to the drive through to pick up my order like the app told me to. The lady at the window, who I assume was the manager because she was wearing a different colored uniform than all the other employees and appeared older than everyone else, seemed confused and asked if we had ordered what the car ahead of us had ordered (chili and a frosty) and I told her again that we were picking up an online order (4 for $4 meal, a combo #1, a small frosty and an iced coffee) and what our name was, and she told us we had to go inside to pick up online orders. So after waiting through the drive through line I pull around and go inside. As I am waiting in line inside I notice a sign that says "Order online and skip the line." I finally get to the cashier and she says that the order will be right out. I stand there and wait as other customers walk in behind me and place their orders and get their food and walk out. The frosty was out first and a bag with fries in it, and it just sat there while I waited. And waited. When we asked what the holdup was, she said that they were waiting on the burgers, even though other customers ordered the same burgers we ordered and got in and out. 25 minutes after we placed our online order (before pulling up to the drive through) we asked for a refund, and the cashier said that the burgers were almost ready, so we decided to wait. Five minutes later, the burgers finally arrive. She hands us our order, and I have to remind her that the 4 for $4 comes with a drink, which was a sprite on my online order. She says that the machine behind the counter is broken, so I take the cup to fill it myself at the machine in the lobby. The sprite was carbonated water with no syrup, so I got a different drink instead. At this point, after thirty minutes, my frosty was melted and my fries were cold. The iced coffee had sat on the counter for at least ten minutes. When I opened the bag there was no ranch for my nuggets (which I had selected on the app) and no napkins. The Dave's single burger is supposed to get two slices of cheese, yet ours only had one. I had not been greeted when I entered the store, and they did not thank me for my business or even say they were sorry for the wait. Half of the staff wasn't wearing masks (full disclosure: I did not have a mask on, but I expected to go through the drive through and I am fully vaccinated), and they did not seem very concerned about their absolutely TERRIBLE customer service. I have never seen a team of people come together to collectively mess up so many individual aspects of our visit. I have been eating at this wendys (unfortunately the closest one to my house) regularly for the 9 years I have lived on this side of town. I have had bad experiences at this location before, but today was an astonishing display of negligence and ineptitude and absolutely horrendous lack of customer service. The manager lady, after sending me inside from the drive through, never came to check on us or try to facilitate the situation, even after we asked for a refund. I will never eat at this Wendys again. EVER. And I recommend that you do not as well, if you value your time and money. I am not one to frivolously post negative reviews, but they really worked hard to earn this one, therefore I decided it was worth my time to share this experience with...
Read moreAVOID AT ALL COST!! I placed an order thru the app for pick up like I had done multiple times. Arrived at the drive thru and gave my name and was told they don't have the order. Nothing else - no do you have an order confirmation, just no we don't have it. So i pull into a space to verify I had the correct location and sure enough I was at the right location and order showed as being placed to go to the drive thru and pick up my order. So I get back in line and pull up to the window and again give them my information. At first I get the don't have your order response again very rude and short. I let them know I have a confirmation if they would like me to pull forward. They come back on an tell me I have to come inside that it is ready at the counter. I let them know it says to pick up thru the drive thru and I have never had to come inside (kind of defeats the purpose). I should mention that it was 85*+ outside and I had my dog with me (kinda why I wanted to go thru the drive thru) Also why is my food already ready and sitting on a counter to get cold? After back and forth with multiple employees someone tells me to come around. I receive no response when I ask to the drive thru window? So I pull forward anyway. When I get to the window there are 3 employees standing there and 1 says I need to come inside like I had done something wrong and was a pain in her backside. She said that the order goes to the front register and they had a team meeting about it last Thursday and decided to make ppl come inside to get their order ahead orders. I tried to show her my phone that said to come thru the drive thru and explain that I understood this wasn't her fault personally and SHE WALKED AWAY in the middle of me talking. I told them to cancel my order as I was not coming inside. I also canceled the order thru the app and then discovered that they charged me anyway. This is perhaps the rudest encounter I have ever had with someone in customer service. I have reached out to the corporate office but am guessing all of the local Wendy's are owned by the same franchisee so will be avoiding them all unfortunately until the staff is trained and supported to offer appropriate (or even bare minimum) customer service. With the attitude of the employees I would not feel safe to eat any food coming out of this...
Read moreFood is fine BUT this is honestly the WORST Wendy’s in terms of wait time I’ve ever experienced in my life. EVERY time I have gone there, it has taken 5-10 minutes PER CAR to get the orders in. I went there once around 9:30 on a Saturday evening for a celebratory frosty after my daughter’s school play wrapped and there were 2 cars in front of me. We sat there for 20 minutes and the car in front of me pulled away (I thought they must have been out of whatever he wanted). We finally got to the speaker to order. Nothing…. Me: “Hello?” Not even crickets. I waited a minute and said “Hello” again. Nothing. I waited another full minute, “Hello?” Nope. Thinking their system must be down, I pulled to the window. The woman there looked at me like I was all kinds of wrong for doing that. She slid the window open and said, “Can I help you?” I said, “Yeah - no one answered on the speaker so I pulled up here to order.” She sighed and said, “We’re doing a shift change right now” giving me a look like I should clearly have realized that meant things had to completely shut down for some people to leave and others to start working at … Wendy’s. i just looked at her and she kept going, “It’ll be about 10… no, probably 15 more minutes.”
That was the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard someone say about why they weren’t an answering the OPEN DRIVE-THRU when there were cars lined up.
And EVERY time is an excruciating wait period to get to order and get the food. It’s like they have to take an order, make it, give it to the person that ordered it, and then take the next order. But only if it’s not during a shift change where they have to inexplicably shut down completely and not notify anyone so we just sit in cars until someone decides to actually acknowledge the customers in line.
We went next door to Burger King. They must have not been changing shifts because even though there were 4 cars in front of ours, we were through the line with our order in about 5 minutes. They apparently are in the business of...
