Cady's Tea Room — Restaurant in Greenwich

Met an old friend who has never been to a tearoom and decided on Cady’s as it is located half way between us in Greenwich Ct. If you’re a tea lover and looking for an authentic teatime experience,(I always am) this is the place! Located in a lovely historic B&B where coziness is the order of the day and old world charm abounds including several fireplaces and one of the loveliest rooms to take tea, filled with natural light and looking out to what I imagine will be a glorious garden come springtime . Cady and the incredibly talented staff were friendly, knowledgeable and most welcoming. The selection of teas is delightful and the heart shaped cucumber sandwiches are incredibly delicious as are the scones which btw are so good that the clotted cream and raspberry jam are not needed but what would afternoon tea be without them ay? The dainty chicken salad sandwiches are by far thee best this chicken salad aficionado has ever tasted. The mini red velvet cupcakes topped with cream cheese frosting are everything a grown up cupcake should be and more! We recently had a perfect afternoon bridal shower for our daughter at Cady’s tea Room located at the Stanton House Inn in Greenwich, Ct. Everyone thought it was absolutely lovely. The staff was so accommodating and flexible, and were so helpful with setup, yet we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. We were given a selection of teas, tea sandwiches, scones and cookies(the best I have ever had)which were presented on their beautiful tier plates and china, and were served complimentary prosecco upon arrival. They said we could bring in anything additional that we wanted, and they did not rush us out when we stayed beyond our allotted time. We were even able to use the adjacent parlor to open gifts, so it felt like we were in our own private living room. The location, about 5 min from the Greenwich train station was very convenient for guests that were coming from NYC. I would highly recommend Cady’s for a truely special...

I am an avid afternoon tea enthusiast and I am so happy I came to try Candy’s Tea Room! The food was delicious, the service was great, it’s a super cute atmosphere and I can’t wait to go back! You make a reservation online and pay ahead of time, so all you do when you dine is leave a tip. I also think the price is great considering some of the afternoon teas I’ve been to in NYC that cost more and are lower quality.
