Avoid this Chipotle at all costs. They are repeat offenders. I have ordered from here frequently over the past 3 years, and in the past 6 months the quality has tumbled downhill significantly. Came back in 15 mins after they opened and they clearly need to get their act together as half the trays were still empty. Super slow in their responses as if they either are not fully awake or hung over. The guy behind the counter just had a blank stare and kept forgetting what I asked for. (It's literally right there and instantaneous..)Yet, when I ordered a couple of veggie bowls, thinking they will bring the grilled veggies out. He proceeded to pack my bowl, and I asked him why isn't he waiting for the veggies. He told me "they aren't ready, and that's not what a veggie bowl means. It just means no meat." Um.....if I wanted just rice and beans...I would have said so. I actually wouldn't have minded if they were honest or at least apologetic for their sluggishness and lack of preparation. But to cut corners and then blame it on the customer for not understanding what a "veggie" bowl means (it means there are freaking veggies.) Even though the restaurant is always a mess and dirty, I can see them making the food. Today was no exception. Ordered a chicken burrito to go and when I went to pay the almost $12 dollars the cashier refused my cash. (Paying using small bills). Just kept repeating “card, card, card only”. There is no posted sign stating this. In CT, I do not believe a business can refuse to accept cash or charge more if a customer chooses this method. The restaurant is dirty almost every time we visit, customer service is rarely good and now they are demanding cards only. Sure hope the employees aren’t swiping our information for nefarious reasons. I do not recommend this location. The Bridgeport location is clean, excellent customer service good food and get this, you can pay cash. The absolute worst Chipotle we have had however is the new one in Trumbull CT.
