Terrible experience tonight. Never returning. Would give it a ZERO star if doable!

Appetizers for 4 took 25 minutes after ordering, and the entrees came (only after we asked 4 separate times, twice asking the head person) 53 minutes AFTER the appetizer plates were removed! 3 tables we know of arrived 10-15 minutes after us and ordered at east 15-20 minutes after we did and were served their entrees (after appetizers) well before our entrees arrived ... the arrived AFTER we gave the waiter our 2 credit cards to pay for our drinks and appetizer and told him and the head person we were leaving. Our cards were returned to us saying 'no charge' for the 4 drinks and appetizers; which I suppose was the only reason I gave a ONE STAR rating instead of a ZERO rating. Was NOT the waiters fault; but the kitchen clearly cannot handle a Saturday night crowd...and our 7PM reservation was seated in a room where half the tables were filled for the first hour we were there. I suspect the kitchen was told to leapfrog other orders ahead of ours likely for diners who are known there... if that was not the case then it is a kitchen that badly needs training on how to handle orders. Net/net: a waisted night; although we went 1/5 mile away to an Italian restaurant that was very good...and with fast service.

The noise level was almost unbearable too!

I p[an to likely return AFTER it changes hands and the next version of a restaurant starts up at this location as have 3 others at the same location over the...

My boyfriend and I have been going to Lugano for a little while now, we absolutely love the food, drinks are perfect and so as dessert! The service from the server is excellent! When it comes to the front staff and the manager (whoever was on 02/27/2021) was awful. We walked in and the server who was with the manager looked at me and walked away, the manager (which is not the same one we normally see) made a face then slowly approached us asking “what can I help you with”. We asked to be seated and we were told that only tables open were by the bar, we got seated which was right in front of the door! (ALL THE TABLES IN THE RESTAURANT WERE EMPTY) we went at around 5:20pm, NOT dinner rush! We asked for a regular table and the manager said not until 8:30pm, again ALL the tables were empty! We got to our bar table and the amount of people who walked in to eat and had to leave Bc the manager wouldn’t seat them at a regular table table or the bar was way too many for a restaurant! We left at around 6:30pm and more than half of the restaurant was still open for regular tables!! He wouldn’t get people to their table if they arrived a little early and offered the outside multiple times. At 47 degrees no one wants to seat outside! Again manager was AWFUL! As we say we will put Lugano...

This place has been my family's go to places over 3 years since we moved from central Greenwich to Old Greenwich. It's only a few min. drive from my house so it's been a very convenient last min. impromptu place to go. The thing amazes me is how no staff ever recognizes us there considering how many times we went. Now I recognize most of the staff working there. lol. But somehow they managed to make me feel like it's my first time in the town I've never been before every time I go there. I'm not expecting for them to know me or anything but the vibe I get from the manager/staff is not what I expected after 3 years. Another complaint is this place gets too loud. I have to yell at my company sitting across to keep the conversation going. The noise issue could be easily fixed by installing sound absorption on the ceiling. The technology is out there to explore for sure. Everyone who I went there with me complained so I'm sure the management knows about it. Hope to see some upgrade in the future as well as some warm welcoming...

The dictionary defines false advertising as an advertisement that contains knowingly untrue, misleading, or deceptive representation of goods or services. For this reason, I have provided your restaurant with a 1-star review. As seen in the picture below, taken from your website under the Brunch tab, you offer bottomless Mimosa’s for $15. This is the sole reason my friends and I chose to patron your restaurant, as opposed to your competitors whose websites also have a similar offering. Needless to say, this restaurant doesn’t honor the offering on their website and required us to pay $18.50 per bottle. I’m a reasonable person, this is my first google review, I just want to see a service provided that was promised on the website. Either change your policy or remove your current advertisements on the website, and I will gladly remove my review. I just wanted to spend my Sunday brunch drinking Mimosa’s with the dudes and I was cruelly deprived of such an experience.

Was staying at the hotel up the block and my husband and I thought this would be a good place for our anniversary dinner. When we arrived the man at the front didn't greet, welcome us, or ask us how many in our party. We had to approach him and ask him for a table for two, he seated us in the back. Water glasses are already on the table and they were completely covered in hard water stains. We tried switching them with the glasses on the table next to us and they were in the same condition. Made it unappealing to use them. We saw a white couple next to us who received bread and butter. I was confused why they got some and we didn't. I ended up asking and the waiter brought us some. I ordered sea bass which came on a cutting board filled with mold. My husband ordered steak that came with too much sauce that made all the fries soggy. It was a disappointing anniversary dinner. The drinks were good and that's about it.

I don't know what's happed to Lugano. I know the management changed but did everything good go with it? We always eat there when my son comes home from school. Firstly they have done away with the build your own charcuterie board. The one they have now is not for everyone and the portions are much smaller. Otherwise the food was terrible compared to how amazing it once was. Our Brussels sprouts came out horribly burned. The pasta Bolognese was basically linguini in meat soup (see photo.) the chicken parm used to be pounded thin and had the fresh creamy mozzarella in it. Not it's barely thin with what seemed like store bought shredded mozzarella. The sautéed spinach used to be quite flavorful with slivers of fresh garlic. Now it just warmed wet spinach. It's so disappointing when an old staple goes down hill. Going forward we will likely skip and try some of the other options in town.
