wonderful coffee shop. Best flat white I've had in America by a young female barista. Today we got shouted at by a barista I've never met before. She told us not to leave our service dog alone while we stepped 5 ft away to look at the pastries. Then as we left she shouted at us to put their furniture back (we moved a table out a foot or so to put our dog out of the way). Then she proceeded to tell us that we come in there all the time and leave as mess and "what is your dog even trained for? Which from my understanding is not legal to question. But since you asked or rather demanded all the while grinning at us and yelling and provoking, she is trained for hearing impairment. If we have annoyed anyone in this shop previously, you had every opportunity to talk quietly and respectfully to us. Maybe she was even the manager/owner, as she was so rude and unprofessional, I can't imagine a regular barista not being fired for the way she conducted herself to us. As the owner has said in response to a previous review, please review us on our coffee and character. I would absolutely review well for every time of the 5 or so times we have been in and had a positive experience. However a one star is fair given the level of manner displayed today. Anyway, we left and won't be back which she was delighted to hear. Horrible horrible experience. Unnerving. How a young person thinks they have the right to shout out in public to two senior citizens is beyond me. But I'm glad to have the opportunity to say this in a...
Read moreI recently met up with a long-time family friend at Fresh Pots Coffee Bar in “old town” Greenwood. It’s a place she goes to sit quietly on the porch and read while enjoying breakfast and coffee. I felt honored to have been invited. 📖
She gave me a quick tour of Fresh Pots’ new location— a converted home on Madison Avenue— pointing out the two floors and variety of hard and soft seating. I loved the rich color palette and framed art covering the walls and at least one ceiling. 🖼️
For breakfast we ordered:
🍯 Iced Honey Latte 🥯 Classic Bagel Sammy w/bacon 🔥 Iced Campfire Mocha (Fall Menu) 🥑 Avocado Toast w/tomato
The Campfire Mocha was rich with a smooth chocolate flavor. The Avocado Toast was good but simple. Flaky salt and some black pepper would’ve kicked it up a notch. The sourdough had a nice density that held up to the toppings.
We ate at a beautiful two-top marble table and talked for over an hour about family, religion, childhood, and how people often over-complicate love. I enjoyed catching up. 🧑🧑🧒🧒
Fresh Pots Coffee Bar would be a great place to work remotely, have a meeting, read a book, or sit quietly while surrounding yourself with art and coffee. Check them out if you’re in...
Read moreFor starters for me and my daughter anything less then 5 stars from us would mean we weren't paying attention. This establishment is absolutely amazing. The kindest and funnest group. The Place has a very laid back and casual atmosphere. The crowd was pleasing and chill. The decor gives you the Vibe of a big city coffee shop with with artsy small town feel. Everyone there was nothing short of polite and fun. You can tell they like one another..
The coffee was amazing. When I told Barista that he litterally made rhe best cappuccino I've ever had I mean it and you can tell it meant something to him. So much so when I came back days later they all remembered me. I had only been there that one time and nothing about our one and onlyconversation was so memorablethat i expected them all to remember me.. NOW THAT IS SERVICE. THANKYOU. MY 15 yo DAUGHTER SAYS ITS A 10 OUT OF 10..!!!
