Had been looking forward to trying a new coffee shop in Greenwood, so took my family and in-laws there this morning. The first impression of the decor was great. A lady greeted us and asked to help us move two small tables together to fit our group of 6, which was what we needed. As we went to order, the purple haired barista started speaking loudly to whoever could hear her “she’s new, we can’t move those tables together. They need to put those back.” She and others began to talk amongst themselves as if we were invisible, and recommended we sit in the vacant office space behind a closed door. Coffee shops are graded on ambiance and mood, not just coffee, and this place missed the mark despite a well decorated shop. What a disappointment for a first visit. Just a sterile and transactional experience by the collective group behind the counter. I’d compare it to the caliber of what you’d expect at an airport coffee shop, which overindexes on speed, not service.
Back to the drawing board for coffee shops in Greenwood. As much as I’d love to give it another try, the experience left a sour taste in our mouths and unfortunately isn’t a place we will recommend to others.

Read moreI tried !!!!! I'm NOT ACCEPTED here. I thought for a coffeehouse that is supposed to be a church that cares!!! I first came by CoffeeHouseFive, a friend invited me to share over coffee. My first visit I came by to see if there were any options. I am vegan. But I always want to give each place a chance if possible. Knowing that this was a Christian coffeehouse was the most encouraging thing for me. 1st visit I purchased the item to go with me. I had a great conversation and planned for my next visit. Upon arriving on my 2nd visit I purchased a cup of coffee and the ONLY 1 item for me to eat. In the middle of my purchased I was asked Very Nicely if I would like my desert heated. At that moment I was told that I could not bring anything in to eat. Every other restaurant that I go to has always welcomed me with open arms because they know they have nothing to offer me. I JUST THOUGHT THAT HERE I WOULD BE ACCEPTED!!!!! I'm so disappointed now!!!! I AM praying that you become more accepting to those who have...
Read moreThe coffee was good! My sandwich, not so much. I like mayo on my breakfast sandwich but they do not provide or keep on hand. Dukes Mayo would have been a very nice touch! Another customer told me she brings her mayo from Speedway gas station before going. lol By the way, the inside of the shop is nice but the outside is dreadful. There is absolutely no outside decor. The owners really need to look at some coffee shops on the north side and create a nicer, inviting shop on the front of the building. It really made me think run down when I pulled up. 🤷🏽♂️ I’ll keep searching for coffee shops that check all my boxes I guess. ☹️ Update: Thanks for the review reply. Nice to hear you donate to the community. That’s great! No biggy I guess about carrying condiments or adding outside decor. You either make changes for a more inviting experience as well as consumer sandwich condiment options or you don’t. It’s that easy. 🤷🏽♂️ Great curb appeal is always a...
