PC ParaMedix — Local services in Greenwood

I have to give a bit of background first, Best Buy told me my laptop was unable to be repaired. It is a $2500.00 ASUS Laptop to use CAD programs for design, that I purchased from Best Buy. My warranty was 3 days passed, and I couldn't get there earlier due to Covid. The "Geek" knew I was working from home, this computer was my only income, and I became distraught with what he told me. Made me feel that I had to immediately by another computer, in order to save my hard drive and get everything downloaded from the "broken" computer. Very long story-short, I cannot afford another computer, I lost jobs due to not having a computer, I was at the end of my rope. My husband being disabled and Covid, made this a nightmare, and Best Buy knew! I had read online issues on my computer, that detailed the problems I was having, and how to fix it. To complicated for me because, it was an internal battery. This is the information I gave the geek squad, but it was no help to them. Weeks later, with no choice, I basically called the closest place to me, that had good reviews. Thank goodness I found this place. Jeff listened to me, said he'd look into it, easy enough. He called back, after he looked at it, and told me we should replace the internal battery. He assured me if the battery wasn't this issue, we could return it. Again, long story short, my livelihood, my career, my reputation were all on that computer. Without that I didn't know what I was going to do, much less pull the money together to replace it. Jeff was incredibly helpful and responsive to my requests. I had spent the better part of the last seven or eight months buying my new PC part by part and in the end just couldn't get it to start up. I took it over to PC ParaMedix after basically having given up and was just ready to bite the bullet of paying whatever it cost to get it up and running. After looking at the prices of places like MicroCenter and GeekSquad, I was ready for whatever price was coming my way, especially after replacing a couple of parts that had been DoA.
