My realtor bought my family chocolate chip cookies from this establishment for Christmas. After trying the cookies, it was hard not to eat all of them at once. We traveled to this location in Greenwood to buy some more and to see what else the store offered. I was hoping for more of a bakery with breads instead of a donut shop with unique items. We ended up buying multiple things, one being a cream cheese cinnamon roll. This too was larger than life and it took me all day to eat. This roll was so good I was hankering for another the next week! So on Thursday, I left work early to go to the bakery and just get one more. When I arrived, there was a note on the door that said they would be closed until Friday. I drove away unsatisfied and irritated. I decided to try again first thing this morning after dropping my girls off for one cinnamon roll. I drove in the poor road conditions to get to this location only to find out they were out of rolls because they had been short staffed. I told the cashier they were the only reason I came there and that I even came the day before but they were closed. He gave a half-hearted apology that didn't make me feel any better and I ended up buying cookies and donut holes. I would think this store would have more of a small town vibe versus a franchised institution. I think they missed out on an opportunity to make it right for a customer that obviously just needed a break. I have only been to this place twice, but I don't see me going back because of this gap. I mean if it were any other place, there would have been some sort of gesture to remedy the situation. Not even a possible time when the rolld would be ready. This store fell flat on meeting customer...

I have only ever had these donuts at a party that I attended and because of how delicious they were, I wanted to try some other varieties! I was so excited to pick up some tasty treats for me and my family (I am also 7mo pregnant and have been craving a specific flavor haha). However, when I got to the Greenwood location I was extremely disappointed with the lack of friendliness or helpfulness of the staff. I understand these types of restaurants run out of the really good stuff and sometimes you just have to try again another day, but the way that news was delivered was extremely rude. Two younger girls were the only team members I saw in the store, and they were giggling to what seemed to be about some of the other customers in the store right in front of said customer. As rude as I thought that was, I continued to shop around until I figured out what I was looking for. When I did ask for my donut of choice, I was scoffed at and barked at with “All we have is donut holes right now.” And that was it. No other offers of, “But can I interest you in this______ instead?” Keep in mind I am a first time customer and probably would have purchased another item that I wasn’t specifically looking for because they had many bagged and pre-prepared items that looked really good too. Instead, I left frustrated and disappointed in the way that I and probably other customers were being treated this evening. I am going to try the drive thru before giving up on this business, in hopes that I don’t have to encounter rude and dismissive...

A matter of liking your products is personal preference. I certainly expected more after hearing all of the hype. My one star is not based on your products, but your customer service.

I have visited this location twice. First time was disappointing, as no information was OFFERED besides 'we are out of that'. It was like pulling teeth just to get the employee to speak! Everyone has off-days. Businesses have days where their employees may not positively represent them. So, another chance I give. IT WAS WORSE. I read in another review about young employees present/no management present. There was ONE other person in the store besides myself--two employees. Not one of them spoke. Okay, whatever. We'll see what happens. On to making my purchase. The young man holding the broom was very seemingly put out by my presence and did not say ONE WORD to me except how much I owed. No greeting. No THANK YOU. Nothing.

You may have hype going for you. I don't prefer your products over the locals that have been here, but that's just my preference. What seems very off is mismanagement of CUSTOMER SERVICE. I do see there are other comments that praise your customer service. In my experiences, your employees are doing you a great misservice and it seems as though you're doing yourself the same by not managing your front-line asset.

I would much rather support a smaller business than a chain, however, based on my experiences at your Greenwood location, I will not...

One of the supervisor's where i work insisted i try these Amish "crack" donuts. They are basically donut holes dipped in cinnamon and stuffed with a kind of creamy caramel. I couldn't resist and i tried one, i hate caramel flavored sweets/dessert but i fell in love. This is how my husband and i ended up driving to 45 minutes out to Greenwood one Saturday, to see what Rise n Roll Amish Bakery was all about. Unlike other franchise donut places , Rise & Roll serves not only donuts but they have their own breads, homemade cheese spreads , crinkles ect. I didn't expect to find more than donuts and a small selection of breads, hence the "Bakery" in the establishments name. We have been here a couple of times and each drive is worth it. The staff is friendly and very helpful, the donuts are so fluffy but with a good texture sealing in the moisture and flavor. I recommend people try the cinnamon caramel donuts if you're a fan of both, then your taste buds will be swimming in donut heaven. There are other locations that are much further than this one, but we choose the Greenwood location. The consistency in the baked goods and just a group of friendly staff we enjoy seeing when we visit.

As we entered the bakery there was this amazing scent of fresh baked goods. Then we saw the options for donuts at the counter we had a difficult time deciding. I sampled the Pecan Sticky Bun, and was hooked. I had to order one, as well as an Apple Fritter and the seasonal donut, Key Lime. The Pecan Sticky Bun is a dense yet light dough smothered in dark sweet, but not too sweet, syrup and fresh crunchy pecans. Then there is the Apple Fritter. This was delicious as well. A good amount of apples and cinnamon throughout and fried to perfection and coated in a sugary glaze. As if that wasn't enough I had to order the Key Lime donut. I love Key Lime Pie, and always enjoy tasting the seasonal options. I was not disappointed. The Key lime cream was tart and sweet, and the donut was soft and pillowy. Topped with a sugary glaze and key lime stripes. Later that day we enjoyed the Banana Bread. A soft and moist cake like texture with the perfect balance of bananas and warm spices. What a great dessert option. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

I found another Amish gem right here in town!!!!! The crew was so nice to us. They gave us samples and explained about their most popular donuts and pastries. Very polite!!!! The store was clean. There is a seating area and some neat displays. They have many items other than donuts. We bought pies, corn relish, ghost pepper cheese, bear jam, hot pepper jam, (big selection of jams, salsas and relishes) salsa, egg noodles, flavored popcorn, pumpkin bread, zucchini bread, and a big box of donuts and pastries. They have lots of apple and pumpkin pastries to choose from. I got a coffee to go and we were on our way! This store is open at 6:30am. We got there when the doors opened and there were people waiting in the parking lot. We bought our daughter some goodies. She’ll be surprised when she wakes up!
