Wang Cai — Restaurant in Greenwood

Honestly, i wish i could give this ZERO STARS. First of all, we have loyally eaten Wang Cai for YEARS. There have been little issues that have concerned us, but none that were so bad that we wouldn't order from them again...until today.

We ordered like normal - everything was perfect. Food was delivered on time, and the delivery man was as nice as could be. Then I began opening the containers. At first, I couldn't tell what I was opening. We were supposed to have roast pork w/ mushrooms & scallions ONLY (it came with everything but the kitchen sink), beef and mushrooms (this also came with everything but the kitchen sink), only snap peas w/ brown sauce (there were 10 snap peas in a bowl with tons of other veggies), fried dumplings (to which we got fried donuts (????)), and sweet and sour pork (but received chicken). Everything was messed up, but that was just the beginning.

We called to have them bring different food out, or send the guy back with our money. I spoke with the counter girl (who spoke perfect english) & she was basically the translator between myself and the "owner". The owner decided that neither was acceptable, and screamed at me (via poor counter girl, although I could hear him on my end anyway). I eventually just gave up and took the loss, but they will NEVER get my business again.

Update since I put up this review I don't know how long ago but it's been a minute . I tried to order lunch between the lunch times and was not allowed to order. I don't get that so if they did change the times they did not update them on their menus and I could not get a answer of when the lunch specials ended . The reason why I like ordering the lunch is because the chicken to rice ratio is perfect when I order a pint or a quart I don't get enough rice . Original post =Moved on this side of town a few years ago and hadn't found a good place. Till a month ago I got a green scallion plant and really wanted egg drop soup for it. I Googled best egg drop soup near me and it popped up Wang Cai with a picture of a huge container of beautiful egg drop soup. When you walk in you are hit with the most pleasant eroma of food coming from the kitchen. I ordered more food it smelt so good. The soup was sooo yummy and hot. It hit all the right spots. My chicken was fresh, moist and delicious!! I have been there at least once, sometimes up to three times a week since. BEST FOOD IN SOUTH SIDE INDY....

I ordered a sesame seed chicken no onion combo, crab ragoon, 2 liter coke. Even though I'm very upset I'll keep this mature! First of all probably took me 15 min to order because I couldn't understand the lady taking order, and vice versa 😡 the crab rag, and egg roll was hot but the combo literally tasted reheated!!! Obviously the rice was hard and dry, and the chicken was precooked and resauced!! The chicken was so old or overcooked and old that the skin was like chewing a hacky sack!! So I call and want another meal and tried to explain but not getting anywhere, I think i ended up getting kung pow! So another employee calls me and speaks better English and keeps asking me what happened and explaining 5 times, then starts yelling at me and hang ups on me!! So I call back and he asks me same questions again!! So I got robbed of 20 bucks!! Worst treatment I have ever...
