uPaint Pottery Studio — Attraction in Greenwood

UPDATE: Changed my review to 5 stars because a challenging situation was handled beautifully by the owner of U Paint. This wonderful person who cherishes her customers and employees is in a very tricky position, especially with this whole pandemic madness. She called me, took the time to listen to my concerns, and shared authentically the challenge of delicately walking the sometimes very fine line between customers and employees.

My final take?

This lovely woman is one of many small business owners caught in the middle of a crazy time, who are working hard to make the best of it, stay in business, continue to provide a source of income for people, and good products and services to their customers. I’m grateful for this incident because it reminded me that great things can come from difficult circumstances. And as the owner said, we are all in this together. Sometimes unpleasant things happen. It’s how we handle it that matters. And this woman handled it with grace and elegance. Thank you, U Paint. We’ll be back soon!

I, as a delivery driver, made a delivery to the original store in Plainfield. The lady in this location was very helpful. As it was, I was looking for a fun activity to do with my teenage daughter. Being a teenager, I have to schedule time with her between her many activities. 🙄 The very next week, I brought her to the Greenwood location. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful create our perfect pieces, and the business space is set up perfectly to allow personal time between participants. One anonymous employee even went above and beyond, and painted some beautiful artwork in the bottom of my piece. 💛👏 Many thanks! My daughter was in town and we wanted to do something fun, so we came in on an early Thursday afternoon and was surprised by how many people were there. The girl working was nice and very informative and helpful, but my only complaint and why I'm not giving 5 stars is that it wasn't very relaxing. There was a LOT of things going on within the shop with the workers. Moving tables and chairs around and rushing all around us. It was very annoying and disruptive. I almost felt like I was being rushed out by how fast they were running around the place. I found it odd for that time of day.
