I placed an order in the mobile app at 5:19 and order was to be ready at 5:28. Arrived in drive thru at 5:23 with 7 cars ahead of me that still hadn't gotten to the speaker to order. So at this point my order has made it to the kitchen before theirs and they should be working on it or at the least get to it before these 7 other customers. I pull up to the window at 5:29 after all but 2 cars ahead of me have left with food. The employee at the window tries to confirm the wrong order with me, I corrected her, she turns around to check on their progress and tells me they are getting it together now. Mind you it is a blue blackened salad and a family 20 piece, no unusual requests, flippin' chicken which they are undoubtably cooking from open to close, toast, fries and the most basic salad they offer! She asked me to pull up behind another vehicle of the 2 waiting and "it will be right out". At 5:42, 13 minutes after I pulled up an employee came out and handed 3 huge bags to the now only other vehicle waiting other than myself. During this wait I watched 6 or 7 cars that were behind me ... ordered after I did. waiting fractions of the time I have been, pulling up to the window, paying for their food, receiving a bag and driving off into the sunset. At this point I'm fuming. When the young lady passed by me to return to the store I stopped her and asked her why it was taking so long. I kept respectful language but my tone of frustration was definitely coming through. I made sure to tell her I didn't think she was directly responsible but she was the face of the company in that moment. At 5:46, 17 minutes after I was pulled forward, 18 minutes after the confirmed ready time through the app, 23 minutes after arriving at location, 27 minutes after placing the order on the mobile app I received my food. It was hot and fresh. It hadn't been sitting on a shelf getting cold waiting on someone to remember to bring it to me so what took so long? Why was my order not prepared until 7 other people ordered, paid, received their food and carried on with their evening? To this conclusion I can only give is that either management, the manager on duty, the kitchen or employee decided to prioritize app orders last. Possibly it comes down to over all drive thru time for Zaxbys? When an app order arrives in drive thru they go ahead and bump it to help drop their average time for the day or hour. This would make sense to why I was asked to confirm the wrong order when I pulled up to the window. This doesn't explain why the order wasnt ready unless they have to "bump" it off of the kitchen's order screen as completed for them to do the same in drive through and during a busy hour they kitchen who would keep track of what to prepare next on a screen have to remember to put together a order on a printed receipt to "rig" your true drive thru time. How close did I get? I bet I got the general idea of how I was overlooked. This is a horrible business practice to try to look better than you really are in the name of "better numbers" and looking good "on paper" instead of perfecting processes already put I place by people WAY SMARTER THAN YOU ARE! I will not be going back to this location and they took something that was intended to speed up the ordering process and used it as a tool to manipulate drive they times. So sad! I know there are others as this isnt the first time this situation has happened to me at this location, this time was...
Read moreI eat here about once a week, as I work down the street. Today on my 30 min lunch break I went through the drive thru. When i got back to work I realized my order was wrong (I ordered/paid for 5 chicken fingers and only got 3) no biggie, mistakes happen! I figured i would just go by after my shift and explain what happened and they would rectify it. The assistant manager is who helps me. I show her my receipt and explain. “Umm ok do you have the food as proof?” Well as a matter of fact i do. “Yeah I’m gonna need to see that.” So i go to my car and bring it to show her. At this point i feel like I’m seriously being accused of lying over 2 chicken fingers?! She stares at my receipt as I explain i can’t prove you DIDNT give me enough but i definitely paid for 5 and got 3 (again i was not upset and just wanted what o paid for!) she says “i mean this went out already and it’s been 7 hours” ok i already explained i had to work my shift, I’m still in my scrubs from work i came straight from there. “Hold on” walks off. Comes back and gives me what i VERY politely asked for and had a good explanation for in the first place! Ridiculous. I work in customer service 40 hours a week and i have to apologize/fix things constantly for people. This is not how you treat...
Read moreThis store is so dirty that we had to exit the restaurant as soon as I noticed the bathroom had mold and scum…very dirty and worn out. The building inside needs to be gutted and start over. Just saying. I was raised in our Greek families restaurant. This would never be acceptable to us. I was so terrified for our health we left the restaurant because we didn’t feel safe to eat there. I have been many other Zaxby restaurants and we have never seen any stores like this. I called the corporate store to advise them. This store is privately owned. They wanted the store owner to call me. This is their problem…I’m just letting them know, so the public is protected. In my opinion, the store needs to close up until it is clean and safe. Maybe a deep cleaning could help. The best thing to do is gut the inside of the building and renovate it inside. The bathroom tiles were broken and moldy…walls and floors are in need of renovation. Just a dirty store. I noticed the windows are completely dirty and it appears they haven’t been clean for awhile. I do plan to call the city of Greer to do a inspection. Corporate should inspect the store too…to see if this is what they want to portray as a...
