Beware the floors. I’ve worked in restaurants 20+ years. Flooring material is important. The type of tile used in this restaurant are DANGEROUSLY slippery. I visited with my siblings and brother in law.
My brother got up to head to restroom to his hands as he slipped and fell. When he got up and sat back down another patron said that the floors were slick and demonstrated his shoes slipping on the floor as well.
The response to this slip and fall incident from staff? Pretty lackluster. Our server didn’t say anything. The woman in charge was saying that it may be my brother’s shoes. She came over with a handful of napkins and handed some to him to wipe his shoes and to wipe down the floor near our table. No apologies nothing.
The man that brought us our food later was also slipping around and nearly dropped our food. Other patrons coming into the restroom were also slipping around and there were a number of “Slippery when wet” floor signs were tucked around the restaurant ready to be put out if something occurred. Over the next 20 minutes 3 signs were put out onto the floor throughout the space (coincidence?).
The food was fine. Nothing great and nothing bad. Service was below average. The response from management was non-existent.
When I paid and brought up the floor incident, “manager” just said that I’d need to talk to the owners about this and wanted to take down my number. I expect this is something that happens on a regular basis and that they really don’t care given the lackadaisical responses.
If in the area safe your money, time, and bodily health and go elsewhere. There are plenty of other Vietnamese restaurants to...
Read moreMy experience at Phở Bang Restaurant today was distasteful and disappointing. I arrived to pick up a DoorDash order and was completely ignored upon entering. I stood at the counter directly in front of an older female staff member (who appeared to be a grandmother), and she didn’t acknowledge me—not even a greeting. Instead, she began chatting in Vietnamese with another employee, disregarding my presence entirely.
When I politely showed her the order on my phone, she barely looked and snapped, "Not ready yet," with a rude tone and no eye contact. I stepped outside and returned after about 10 minutes. Again, no communication, no update, no eye contact—just more dismissiveness. When I asked kindly for a status update, she swatted her hand at me like I was a nuisance and repeated, "Not ready yet!"
As a delivery driver, I understand things get busy. But basic courtesy and respect should still apply. Her behavior was not only unprofessional but demeaning. What’s most troubling is that I noticed her warm and friendly demeanor with white customers, while I—a young Black woman—was met with hostility and indifference. I truly hope this wasn’t racially motivated, but the pattern is hard to ignore, especially after reading other reviews describing similar experiences.
To other Black customers: be aware. This establishment may accept your money, but it does not appear to value...
Read moreI really hate to leave a bad review, however I don't want the same thing to happen to anyone else. I have been sick and wanted to try a new pho place. So I ordered from Postmates and when my food arrived my pho broth tasted freezer burnt, the chicken was rubbery (literally made the sound on my teeth) It was inedible and I had to throw it away. I also, ordered spring rolls that were okay but the pork was burnt in some spots ..at least I got to eat something. I have been very spoiled with good pho in my life and don't expect everyone to meet that expectation. However, previously frozen to the point you can taste it its not excusable. Also I understand boiled chicken can be rubbery at times but this was to the point of no return, almost like it was previously frozen too. I gave 2 stars bc my green tea smoothie wasn't terrible. I'm out 25...
