I went to this Truett's located in Griffin, GA. on Friday, July 8 a little after 9am to purchase breakfast for my husband and myself. I was amused while waiting in the drive-thru lane by the young lady in front of me taking selfies with her doggie. My amusement went to sheer shock when that young lady pulled up to the window before me to get her iced coffee and apparently she is friends with several associates of Truett's and they are not only familiar with her but her little doggie as well. A female MANAGER proceeds to come to the window, leans her entire upper body out of the drive thru window and proceeds to pet this dog! I couldn't believe it, my eyes had to be playing tricks on me...they weren't, it was really happening! Then the young man that was working the window sticks his hand out for the dog to sniff, proceeds to pet the dog under her snout and gets licked several times. At this point my husband said, "You better NOT get that food!" ..........It gets worse!!! The young man then sticks his hand (the one with the licked fingers) into my bag, I guess to make sure the order was correct and then put napkins into the bag. Of course, at this point I was NOT getting the food, but I pulled up to the window and asked the young man if he just petted that dog and he said No, I just stuck my hand out. I let him know that not only did I see him pet the dog, I saw her lick his fingers and watched him stick that same hand into the bag of food that was prepared for me. Needless to say, I drove off and I didn't see this young man walk away to wash his hands. I would not expect a MANAGER to act this way, but can't fault the young man if he watched someone in a leadership role do the same thing! You lead by example!! I wasn't going to post this online but since I can't ever get anyone to answer the phone when I call, what other resource did I have? David, it may be time for some additional training! I worked with you many, many, many years ago in Forest Park and would not expect to see that type of behavior in your store! I will not be visiting this location anymore and I have a family of 6 that used to eat here 1-2 times a week, it's not cheap to feed a family of 6 here, and it may not affect their bottom dollar, but I can't stomach the thought of...
Read moreDate of visit: Jan. 24, 2014 Time of visit: 18:30 to 19:30 hrs. (6:30 - 7:30) I point this out if anyone from management reads this review. We entered a mostly vacant restaurant and was seated promptly. Our waitress executed our drink orders quickly. She returned in like manner to take our food orders. Four out of five orders arrived within a proper time frame, hot or warm as was appropriate. The fifth order, burger and fries, arrived stone cold and was sent back for a fresh hot order. It was delivered hot and fresh within a reasonable time. My meal was the four chicken finger platter, corn bread, and field peas. The fingers had the distinct flavor the Dwarf House chain is known for, lightly battered and lightly fried. The field peas, while canned, were warm and tasted OK. The corn bread was without onions but was a sweat corn bread. Overall the dinners, we could all agree the meal was OK to I' liked it. Other patrons filed in. Now we wait for the waitress to ask if anyone is up for dessert. And we wait. I would feel fair to say the wait was more than five minutes. My wife's coffee cup sat empty. We did flag down the waitress and ask for coffee and dessert. That took too long to arrive and when it did we had to ask for the check. In all fairness, there seemed to be only four waitress covering 20 or more tables, plus there was only one for the 12 counter service. We are in the food service business and believe the staff that night was stretched too thin. In my opinion, Truitt's Grill is best visited before or after the dinner rush for good attentive service. Will I return? I maybe give it a...
Read moreI visit chicfila stores often and never have any issues but I very rarely visit this one or one in Griffin GA for that matter. Today's visit was not a pleasant experience for me. I ordered my food in the app for curbside pickup, as I usually do. They brought my food, but they forgot my spoon in order to eat the bowl of chicken noodles soup that my husband ordered, and they brought out one pack of crackers. Since I ordered curbside, I had to wait on the server to come back outside and when she did I told her I needed at least the spoon. She brought it to me and apologized. Then I went to eat my chicken sandwich and realized they gave me none of the sauce that I ordered. By this time there were no other cars waiting on curbside and it was literally freezing outside, we decided to go through the drive thru and tell them we needed sauce since we couldn't go inside the store in which the dining area was still closed from Covid. We sat in the drive-thru and told the servers in line taking orders that we just needed sauce. There were 5 of them out there with no other cars in line except the long line in front of me. Neither offered to go get the sauce but they called insideto tell someone that we only needed sauce. We waited in line another 15 minutes, and I had now had my did for about 35 minutes without being able to eat. Finally got to the pickup window and they had no idea what I was taking about. Finally got the sauce and my food was cold so I didn't even eat it, until I got home to heat it up at least. Never had those kind of issues with any...
