My family and I enjoyed eating here the food was good most of the time and the portions were good. Recently they went up on prices by 25%. Still the food wasn’t much for what you got, heaping scoops for $1.25. However, we went in last week. I noticed when I got my food they were counting the pieces of meat they put on my plate. I thought that was odd and got maybe 1/2 the amount I was previously getting. I just figured it was the person serving me and they didn’t realize how much I was suppose to get. My kids and I got our food and went to eat it in the car. We each got two scoops of food, this would normally be enough food for us. However, we all were complaining about how we got very little food. My daughter got Chicken teriyaki. All of her pieces of chicken were tiny and very little of it. It was apparently the bottom of the container they had out so she got the small pieces that had fallen to the bottom of the container. My butter shrimp was just not enough food. I ended up having to go back in and buying more food. When I went back in I realized then that they are no longer sold by the scoop. If you look, butter shrimp is 6 pieces rather than by the scoop. Several things are this way now. It is written on the little papers on the glass that tell you what the item is. When I ordered more teriyaki chicken for my child, we got normal sized chicken this time as the container had been refilled. It is disappointing that they went up on price AND down on serving sizes. I’ve let my friends know so they aren’t surprised and confused when they get smaller portions...
Read moreFor what it is, this place is great. The food is a step above food court chinese food but even more affordable and very filling. They give you heaping scoops. Sad to say it's not outstanding chinese food but still pretty tasty. I visit nearly every time I'm on that side of town.
BUT. The chicken on a stick is magical. It's hot, crispy, tender, juicy, sweet, and savory with an aftertaste that leaves you wanting more. Especially great without being overly sweet.
I always leave with at least 2pcs if not 4 so I can eat as much as I want and leave extra in the fridge so whenever I wander around looking for a snack, I can just grab a few bites. It's nearly as great cold and stays crisp and tender, too.
The best part is for 2 large chicken on a stick pieces it's only $1.25. I could eat for days 😍😋
If it was a nation wide chain selling only chicken on a stick I would really have trouble not stopping at every...
