Food was awesome.
Having been raised in Boston being fed by all the Italian immigrant grandmother's who didn't want me to starve, I NEVER EVER order chicken parm bc it's always sloppy and wet...
This was PERFECT!! The generous serving of DRY CUTLETS even w sauce maintained it's crunch and wasn't greasy even a little...
I ate more than I meant to...nom.nom
My hubs, one of our little ones, a big eater, and I split our meals between us
Hummus, a HUGE FRESH PITA THE DELICIOUS CHICKEN PARM and the large Greek salad..
Made in house dressing was fresh and yummy..I prefer a bit more vinegar in mine but OHHH, remember to order your dressing on the side bc you'll have plenty of salad to take home..I HATED wasting it but it would not keep w the dressing on it..
Price was excellent for what we got. ❤️❤️❤️
The only negative for this place is the very old building falling apart around them. It's likely more a sign of the times than any reflection on the owner...
It's obvious they put all their effort into the food for which I'm grateful. Hoping with the medical arts bldg going in next door will provide new customers and an influx of revenue they can use towards their building repair/upkeep.
I just left so stuffed full and happy...we have pretty limited options in upson where we're living...
Staff was lovely, owner ( i assume) was kind and generous.
We will be back.. sometimes the look of a place will deter me bc I'm immunocompromised from a bone marrow transplant so I have...
Read moreUPDATED AS OF 10/5/23..Brooke's service was representative of the four stars; however, the food sucked and quite insulting. My husband was served what was to be chicken parmesan with tough chicken nuggets covered in lots of cheese. I ordered a veggie and chicken dish with garlic butter and it was dry with overcooked and hard noodles. Our bread was cold and hard. My hubby said his pasta was microwaved. The standard has gone way down since our first visit. So sad! The tables, chairs, and booths are raggedy and run down. Just a sad experience. We won't be back.
Finally visited this establishment on Tuesday 4/18. I didn't know it was an active establishment because it always looked deserted. The service was impeccable, but the food not so much. My salmon was overcooked and while I wasn't asked what temperature, others in the restaurant were. I said I was going to bring my husband back. He was excited to visit today without me because he tasted my pasta with "pink" sauce to which I had added salt and pepper. I didn't discourage him from going without me today because he wanted spaghetti and meatballs but got spaghetti and meat sauce to which he also had to add salt and pepper to taste. We won't give up and will likely try again, but I shouldn't have to go home and season my salmon and pasta. The bread and salad were great. The owner and his mother were THE sweetest. We'll...
Read moreThe salad dressing made by the owner himself daily is worth a stop in alone. The kids pizza was basically a medium size anywhere else. It was only 6.00, (or close to) it was not only a deal in quantity but the Quality! The various items we were served were executed perfectly . My family and I appreciate that Margo’s takes great pride in the quality of their food. Also the service was excellent, she was honest and knowledgeable. I really appreciated she knew the menu. I had the small Greek salad and I still needed a take home box. It was superb with the house dressing. ( I could probably eat a flip flop with that dressing! ;-) My Groom had the steak spaghetti. HUGE portion and he who is never impressed with too much. Was. He said he’d order it again. Our perfect product (who’s four) had the kids pepperoni pizza. Gave us a thumbs up. The pizza was the size of him. The pizza was daddy/mommy tested and concluded we may have found our new pizza joint as well. Anyhow Margo’s keep up the great work! We sure appreciate spending money on the quality food and service...
