Captain D's — Restaurant in Gulfport

I work there for short time im not trying to talk bad about the experience that i had. For about two months i was telling the managers what was not right and showing them as thing happened and I guess he did not like it so about three weeks ago i was told over a text message not to come due to the general manager wanted his managers to get 40 hours and close down the front counter so he didn't care about no one else lively hood just to let some go like that not because of something he told me i did. Its because he wanted to let other people get there forty hours. This was done threw a text message. No communication at all that is why things was happening i ask him several times to have a mandatory meeting i was just overlooked. That was not right he wouldn't have a conversation with any of the employees if you wasn't a manager and each manger would tell you pieces of what he wanted done not what we really needed to here. All things should have been told to all employees but he refused to talk to us. I do know this he had some very good people to work for him but he didn't know how to talk yo them, he yelled at the employees but that is not how he should have...

Newest visit: Every thing was A+++ same as before. Super friendly. Fresh food cooked flavored and presented well. Very clean store. The manager even came out to check and see how we were doing. This is high quality everything at a very affordable price.

Previous visit: Such a surprisingly pleasant experience! The cashier was more than patient answering my questions and even making great suggestions. This was my first time ever at this restaurant or any Captain D's. I am very picky when it comes to fish so I normally don't order any at fast food or restaurants. However, my husband said they have the best fish. So I ordered the fish and shrimp and boy was it great! Hot!! Lightly battered and had a gentle crunch. Not at all what I was expecting. And it wasn't "fishy" smelling or tasting which was a big relief. I guess to explain further, it tasted like fresh fish and not rotten strong smelling and tasting fish. Which was perfect for me! Even enjoyed the Mac and cheese which was worth the upcharge to change from fries. Bush puppies were pretty goid as well! Ordered food. Received food and noticed something was missing. Told the lady who gave us our food and was told they only charged us for one. I told her we ordered two and I was willing to pay for another one but was told they couldn't ring anything up at the window. That wasn't my fault they didn't listen. The one taking orders was told what happened and she rudely rolled her eyes, but I wasn't going to go back through the line either. She told the girl to just ring us up for another one. You'd think by this being new that the service would at least start off great. From that interaction alone I can tell that there will be attitudes. !!UPDATE!! Received two free meal cards because of the service I received. Went to Captain D's two days ago to redeem my free meal card. I ordered the fish and shrimp. Got all the way home, opened my stuff up and to my surprise there were no shrimp. 🙄 I'm almost close to giving up on this place, but I'm going to try it one more time. 3 chances and that's it. They messed up the first two times so we'll see how the third time comes out....
