My husband found this place while googling a place that was open early. I'll be honest..when we pulled in the parking lot I wasn't sure what to think. We entered the restaurant and again..its not a fancy place and you go to the counter to order your meal. Husband ordered a shrimp po boy w fries. I ordered an oyster po boy w onion rings. We sat down and not very long later our order was brought to us. My husband said his po boy was delicious and I'm here to say my oyster po boy was amazing. Huge oysters cooked perfectly. The onion rings were delicious. The prices are great..we paid just 11.99 for each of our po boys. My only complaint..no unsweet tea so I ordered Fanta orange which for some reason didn't have a lot of orange taste..I'm thinking the syrup tank was running low. Regardless..I know we will return. I placed a online order for pickup via DoorDash. I order two combos according to the menu they BOTH came with FRIES. Upon arrival the order couldn't be found, so I parked and went inside. There were other people in line therefore I waited for my turn to get to the counter. He let me know they found the order and was working on it! After another 10 minutes my order was ready for pickup. I checked the order and it was chicken ONLY!! I showed him my receipt and told him I paid for COMBOS that came with fries. Do you know he had the nerve to try to convince me that FRIES meant that the CHICKEN WINGS are FRIED!!! This was our first time trying this place. We drive by all the time. Figured why not stop in. The guy at the counter was very friendly the lady cooking in the back was awesome! We ordered the shrimp basket with fries. A cheesesteak sandwich with mac and cheese. And I ordered a bowl of gumbo. Now I'm a new orleans girl so I'm very picky about my seafood and gumbo. But I will say, their food is so on point! The gumbo isn't mine but it's good! The shrimp are seasoned and fried perfectly and you get so freaking many! The cheesesteak my hubby savagely destroyed.
