Hotel Vela — Hotel in Gulfport

We were attending a wedding in Gulfport, and I had seen a Facebook post about this new hotel in downtown Gulfport. Their $99 Grand Opening rate and location just one block from the wedding reception venue made it a no brainer to give it a try. What a charming little hotel!!! The rooms are really well done with exposed brick walls, fantastic bathrooms, and THE MOST COMFORTABLE BED I have experienced in a hotel in quite some time. The two front desk workers we dealt with were very friendly. I wish we'd had time to check out their restaurant/speak easy, Siren. That will have to wait until next time.||This is truly a fantastic, boutique-style hotel with immense attention to detail. It is walking distance to several restaurants and the Mississippi Aquarium. We had the most amazing experience with Hotel Vela for our wedding weekend! The entire team was incredibly accommodating and creative in supporting all of our needs and requests. They helped make the entire weekend feel seamless and personal.

We hosted our after party at the back patio bar, and it was the perfect space to keep the celebration going, our guests had a fantastic time!

A special thank you to Liz and Meagan, who were both so helpful and attentive throughout the planning process. They went above and beyond with all the pre-wedding logistics and made sure our out-of-town guests felt welcomed and taken care of.

Wish I could give more stars. Wow. Randomly stumbled upon this with my wife and we are so glad we did.

Service: was met with a smile at the door. Amazing hospitality. The entry way is very warm and inviting. Brianna was great

Rooms: blown away based on what we payed for on a one night stay when we walked in the room. Very comfortable bed, great amenities, cozy, homey and extremely clean.(it’s noticeable)towels were fresh, shower was awesome, Outstanding.

This place makes you feel like you’re visiting an old friend in their guest room over a hotel. Haven’t tried the restaurant yet, but I’m sure it’s great.
