THE DONUT SHOP-GULFPORT — Restaurant in Gulfport

Oh. My. LAWD.

I’m new to the Gulf Coast and because I am new, I love trying different spots to find my favorite spots. You know, the spots you’d bring your family and friends who visit you to!

I stopped in to The Donut Shop this morning, and this spot has become my favorite Donut shop based on my first impression and experience.

The shop is clean. There were a couple games I saw at the tables. Enough of that though…Let’s focus on what y’all would really care about…THE DONUTS.

I was lucky and blessed enough to pick a time where a batch of glazed donuts had just finished up and the lovely gal up front greeted me with A. FRESH. GLAZED. DONUT. It was love at first bite. I was already hooked. So, I decided to also try their maple frosted, Reese’s/Peanut Butter, and then of course another glazed…you know, because you have to make sure that first taste wasn’t a hoax… the donuts were soft. Sweet but not too sweet. Perfect.

Come to find out, they have lunch options too! The gentleman in the back informed me that the burger dough was the same as the glazed donut dough!! I’ll definitely be back to try their lunch option.

We visited the shop in Natchez and my husband was so in awe of the fact that they put so much love and care in their donuts that they wrap each one individually!! And the fact that every donut was absolutely delicious!! The Glazed were hot and the choice of different kinds made it hard to choose! The powdered Strawberry was his favorite and the chocolate covered Bavarian cream along with the hot glazed are hard to beat!!! I must say that the donuts here are phenomenal! In my opinion, they are by far the best donut shop in Gulfport. The donuts are always super soft, and the glaze on the donuts has the perfect amount of sweetness. I'm notorious for ordering through Doordash, but I finally stopped by in person to pick up some donuts for my employees this morning. Jason and the little lady that were working this morning both greeted me with smiles and chatted with me while they got my order together. I highly recommend giving these guys a try!
