Please have staff check the receipts before handing out orders. I placed an order yesterday that should have been ready for pick up at 9:15pm. I arrived at this time. The young man handed me one pizza and when I asked about where the other items were (the 2 orders of wings) he looked at the receipt and said to wait a few moments while he gets them made. While waiting, the person that came in after me and ordered in person had received their entire order while I was still waiting for the wings. The young man came back out with an order of wings and my pizza that he had placed in the hot box. I asked about where the second order of wings was. He seemed confused and stared at the receipt...for some reason whatever he was looking at did not match what I had ordered and I had proven this by showing him my email confirmation. He pulled up my order in the system using my phone number, printed a new receipt, and asked me to wait again for 2-3 minutes which ended up being actually 15-20. My order should have been ready for pick up at 9:15. By the time everything was ready I had waited 40 minutes. When I got home and opened the wings I found out they didn't make the correct ones. It should have been one order of BBQ and one order of buffalo mild but I was given two orders of buffalo.
I had just gotten off work, I placed the order so that it would be ready on my way back but I was met with a lot of confusion and frustration because of the carelessness of the employee that should have been helping me. I work in the food industry myself, I understand that things happen and try to be patient but this experience was clearly because of someone not taking their job seriously. I get working at a pizza place may not be the most exciting thing in the world but if they want to succeed in life they need to start somewhere and they will not get something better if this is how they treat their responsibilities in a customer...
Read moreMy friend made reservations a couple of months in advance for dinner on Valentine's Day. Since I knew it was one of the famous and most expensive restaurants in the city, obviously expectations were high. The place was about 3/4 full by 8:00 pm. The hostess was courteous and helpful, the atmosphere elegant and the soft jazz playing in the background by a 4 member band was at about the right volume.
The Menu: they had a special menu for the V-Day, when we asked for the regular menu, we were told it wasn't available. Fine. So we ordered Blinchiks for appetizer, boeuf a la Stroganoff as entree, a glass of wine and desserts. The Blinchiks were delicious, so we held a toast and... the semi-sweet white wine we ordered proved to be semi-dry Chardonnay! Not too bad, but not what we asked for. The Stroganoff arrived on time, I've tried it at a couple other places and it was tasty and full of flavor: but not here. Bland, dull, and overboiled to the point I could mash it with a teaspoon. No trace of the short ribs, hardly flavored and not hot at all, so by the time the waiter took the plates back to the kitchen it was hardly warm and 2/3 intact. The Blintzes for dessert were great and possibly the best thing out of what I ordered for the night. That's below expectations for a $180+...
Read moreI ordered food for carry-out. Arrived at the store at 10:16 AM to pick it up. Both the mobile app and website said that the order was ready. Supposedly they open at 10 AM, but the doors were still locked, and no one was inside.
There was one employee standing outside waiting to get in. After waiting about 20 minutes, I went back home. I tried to call the place. At some point, someone picked up, and then placed me on hold.
I returned to the place around noon, still on hold from the phone call earlier. There were other people trying to get in, but the doors were still locked. The employee that I saw earlier was still there outside, after TWO hours. Several people outside wondering what was going on and why the place was still closed.
At that point, I had to make other plans for lunch. I was still on hold for an hour, and finally hung up. I went back home and tried to call the place once more. Someone picked up eventually, then said that they'll get the manager on the phone. After several minutes, someone picked up (not the manager), and explained that they had issues opening because of the manager. I requested my order to be canceled and refunded.
