TRIED TO SCAM MY WIFE - My wife went in there around 12:30 p.m. on 2/13/2019 to send an envelope to Pakistan. (And yes I put the date and time so they can track down the employee or owner and fire him). She handed it to the guy, he weighed it, punched something into the computer and then told her it would be $98.
She sends stuff fairly often there so she knew this was too high. She asked him how much it weighed and he said 0.2 lbs. So she went onto the Fedex website and looked it up and they said it would cost $78!
She turns to him and says, "It says on the website it should be $78." He looks flustered, checks his computer screen and says, "Hmm... I don't know why it's telling me $98." Normally, in a situation like this, the clerk would show the customer what it said on the computer screen to prove they weren't lying. But this guy wouldn't let her look at the screen. She asked and he quickly hit a key and said he was starting over again. (In other words, 'you can't see it because I just erased it off the screen... because it did in fact say $78').
And the key evidence that he was lying is that he instantly dropped the price to $78 for her. Do you think he really would have done that if his screen had told him it was $98? Not a chance in the world. He'd have to charge the higher amount if that's what his screen really said. Obviously that's not what it said at all.
So... it's a nice little racket they got going there. They are actually knowingly overcharging people and pocketing the difference. This place is a big fat SCAM! Don't go there - unless you already know how...
Read moreThis pointed towards the Notary service within this FedEx franchise. I had a very good experience when I needed to sell my car which was in a different state and he notarized all the documents. I was charged $5 for that transaction. I came back to have an I-9 form noterized. It came with clear instructions on what to fill out on the single page. I hand him my card and tells me it’s $20. When I push back, reminding him he did a more complicated transaction for 3x less , he tells me I was charged more cause he had to read! Like what kind of metric is that? I told him I would of made a different decision if I would of known that and he didn’t give me the option or metric. The only difference I can see in the two transactions is that this was for a job at a university....
Read moreThis location does not accept QR codes. The closest FedEx OFFICE (where they do take QR codes) is in Hoboken, 25 min away one-way. Knowing this, Quick Pack LLC charges customers FIVE AMERICAN DOLLARS to print a shipping label from an email. It is #@$%& outrageous.
Your business doesn't have modern infrastructure or transparency about the lack of infra, then you're fining your customers for your own failures.
The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 was the matter-of-fact and relatively fast customer service from the employee at the register, and that I was able to complete my shipment at all.
From now on, I'll be sure to choose a non-FedEx...
