Great coffee, amazing kolaches. However.. customer service is a make or break factor in food interactions. Generally speaking, I’ve never, ever received poor or short service at this location. Today that changed.
I’ve worked several fast food jobs, been the guy on the ‘headset’ taking the drive thru orders. I’ve never once given poor customer service, even on a bad day, or with a manager breathing down my neck.
However today I was disappointed. I was excited to see there was no line! I could take my time today. But right off the bat when I pulled up to the menu at the derby Dunkin’ Donuts, I was greeted with a very loud voice. Upon asking a question about their coffee flavors, I was given a very short response and could tell this employee was rushing to get my order as quickly as humanly possible and get me the f out of there. I understand they, as with most other fast food restaurants or coffee drive throughs, have corporate overlords essentially whipping them for not keeping the ‘drive time’ (time a customer spends in the drive through from menu to window to exit) within or below 3 minutes.
This is completely backwards from how you should handle these situations.
When I’m at work I take pride in giving premium, top notch service to the best of my ability. It seems this lesson didn’t resonate with this employee. As for the other employees,...
Read moreI am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding an incident that took place at your Derby store on 3-17-25 at approximately 9:45 am. While visiting with my six children, I overheard an employee making fun of them after she thought we left, without realizing I was standing right behind her. This behavior was not only unprofessional but also deeply hurtful.
As a paying customer, I expect my family to be treated with respect. Instead, we were made to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I believe that all customers, regardless of age or family size and/or diversity deserve to be treated with kindness and professionalism. Then I asked for the manager I found that the manager, store manager and general manager is all the same person that was at the drive-thru window
I would appreciate it if you could address this matter with the employee in question and take steps to ensure this does not happen to another family in the future. Then I asked for the manager I found that the manager, store manager and general manager is all the same person that was at the...
Read moreWow. Walked in to get a breakfast sandwich. Stood at the counter for 10 minutes before any of the 6 employees acknowledged my presence. I finally asked girl with dark hair and piercings in her nose if anyone was handling inside orders. She said someone will help you in a minute, and gave me a sneer. Then after a couple of minutes, took my order herself. I ordered an egg and cheese with no cheese. Waited about 3 or 4 minutes. Got out to my car. Theres cheese on my sandwich. Came back in. Three girls are working 3 feet in front of me. None of them acknowledge my presence. I stand there for a couple minutes before i loudly ask for my money back. The dark haired girl snatches up the bag, sneers, and says to me i didnt ask for no cheese. Sooo, im lactose intolerant. I "have" to ask for no cheese.... So we argue in front of a dad and his kid. No one intervenes. I surely hope this young lady isnt the shift lead, or worse...a manager. They were busy i get it. How hard is it to turn while youre walking by and say something to a customer no matter how long theyve been...
