I've been in this store several times since it's my local store, and I have been dissatisfied with the service every single time. I've worked retail and I generally have a pretty high tolerance for customer service, but somehow this store seems to anger me each time.
When shopping for an upgrade, I asked an associate to tell me about some of the phones. He responded, "They're pretty much all the same," and wasn't willing to help beyond that. After doing some of my own research (and discovering how DIFFERENT they all are) I spent several hundred dollars on a new phone at another location. The phone was defective, the company would not provide me with a replacement screen cover when I exchanged it, and they sold me the wrong type of car charger. I tried to exchange the car charger for the correct one at the location I am reviewing and despite bringing in all the receipts I was given at the time of sale, the transaction which included the charger could not be found. The associate informed me that he could not exchange the charger. It's a VERIZON BRAND charger that was in the bag with all the other accessories and phone box... where else would I have purchased this thing? Where has customer service gone? What happened to standing behind your product, service, and company?
The staff is just rude, lacks knowledge about their products, and has inspired me to switch to another service provider as soon as my new contract expires. I can't wait. Save yourself the irritation and go to...
Read moreSo what started as a nightmare ended up working out I would have rated this one star if it wasn’t for the Verizon store in Derby Kansas, specifically the manager Raul PAUGA. I spent about five hours online trying to switch from AT&T to Verizon. It was a nightmare. They charged me canceled my order three or four times online then I went into the store. It took about an hour and 15 minutes to transfer five lines with in store employees and manager. Recieved the same deal if not better in my opinion, this location was extremely busy but the employees greeted everybody and checked in on them as they waited (not only me). Everything the in store employees said they would do they did, what else can you ask for?
The same cannot be said about online, chat , phone representatives, I will probably never call again and just go to store if I need something unless I want to waste my time and money and call a company that seems to have zero remote customer service experience. I work for a software development company and if we had support reps like this we would not be in business.
I am a new customer so we will see if my rating will change as we go but for now it’s in store...

After I got home and started to look over the receipt I noticed that the sales person who sold me the phone blatantly lied to me and charged me full price on everything, wait because that's just the beginning. I went back into the store and spoke to the manager his nonchalant adittude toward what had happened lead me to believe this was normal business practice for this location. He told me to "wait just a second and I will have someone with you" so I waited. While I was waiting I heard the same sales associate telling customers the same blatant lie. After waiting about fifth-teen minutes to return a case and a charger, I walked up to the same manger who was doing nothing but standing and asked him how long it would be. He looked at his iPad and told me it would be about one hour and forty-five minutes! I told him that he obviously did not understand customer service and walked out!
