I was super excited about this shop. On valentines I came in to basically sample cakes for my daughter’s upcoming birthday. We tried some mini cakes, cupcakes, and strawberries shortcake shooters. We did find the fillings a bit sweet but the cakes were perfect moist and had just enough sweetness. I loved the strawberry shortcake shooters. We placed an order for two cakes for her birthday. Communication was a bit off. Like I explicitly wrote we didn’t want fresh strawberries in our cake in our first request and it was not understood until the third time. The cakes were cute though I wish they would’ve shared images prior to my pickup to ensure I was satisfied however the cakes tasted so off like a cleaning agent was added to them. Literally every single attendees cake slice ended up in the trash. I shared this with them and they were basically like well no one else complained. I offered to bring them a slice so they could confirm and never heard back. So although I would encourage people to drop in and try their treats I would never recommend my friends and family purchase anything for a special occasion.
Edit: Adding because I can’t reply to owner. I do understand that the strawberry cake comes with fresh strawberries that’s why I implicitly expressed I did not want them. Although I did receive a response this evening I did not receive follow up about my complaint. I never changed my mind about the taste of any cakes, I stated that I tried both, that both had the chemical taste but that because I tasted the chocolate first it may have impacted how the strawberry tasted. Also to clarify I offered to bring you a slice for you to taste not the other way around. Your misrepresentation of the facts for me would bring service to a zero...
Read moreThe 3 Cupcakes my partner and I tried were tasty but the fillings were overpowering & overwhelming. 1 cake was quite dry but the other 2 were moist, fluffy and delish. The downside is trying to eat them and not making a mess. They need to come with an instruction manual on how to get the cupcake out of the cardboard or change the way they are presenting. They are messy and difficult to eat. Paid $18 and the cupcakes ended up getting destroyed trying to get them out of their cardboard. I had to eat the last one like a mini cake in order to keep it all together. The pricing/value seemed a little off, for me. $6 per cupcake seems overpriced for the experience of the cupcake. Based on the taste of the 2/3, we would be back. Based on the value and the presentation, probably not. Way too difficult to eat and there is more frosting and filling than cupcake. Would recommend to at least...
