First time here and it was awesome. Came around 4:30pm and only one other couple came in until we left at 6. The tables are nicely spaced out and the decor is charming. Very clean throughout. Our waiter Aldo was also very attentive and kind. The bread that comes before your meal was warm fluffy goodness. Omg the asparagus soup was so good! It looks rich but it's light and just a touch creamy. Loved how well it was seasoned and asparagus flavor was phenomenal. The best part was how hot the soup was. Normally you go to restaurants, the soup comes ladled out 2 seconds after ordering and it's luke warm but I loved how hot the soup was here. The mussels were seasoned perfectly and the sauce was great. Didn't get any grit either while eating them but I will say the mussels were pretty tiny. Maybe just the batch they got this time since I saw other people's pics with much bigger mussels. Tasted great though. The parpardelle was food for the soul. Cooked al dente with a rich creamy sauce that isn't too thick. Scallops, spinach, crab, and sundried tomatoes all came together wonderfully. The strawberry panna cotta was probably one of the best I've had. Had nice crunchy pieces of almond on top which adds awesome texture. The strawberry flavor tasted fresh and the chocolate syrup to the side was a nice touch. The only weird thing was the regular creme brulee (they also had a chocolate flavored one). It was a bit eggy and the torched sugar had a slight bitterness to it. I'm gonna chalk this up to just being an unfortunate fluke because everything else tasted so good. Needless to say I was still very happy overall with my meal and will be back.

Me and two girlfriends tried Mare Monte last night after searching restaurants in South Jersey and trying to find one we had never been to. I’m not sure how I’ve never heard of this place but I am so glad I found it because we had one hell of a meal! To start, we split three appetizers including the octopus, escargot, and scallops special. It was our first time trying escargot and we were pleasantly surprised. It had a melt in your mouth garlicky butter taste. The octopus was cooked perfectly and came on a tasty bed of arugula salad. The scallops special was incredible as well. We then split a Caesar salad which reminded me of one of the best Caesars I have had at a local steakhouse so needless to say I was a huge fan. For entrees we got the spaghetti Silva, squid ink linguini, and the fettuccine special. The homemade pasta really makes all the difference. Each dish was full of flavor and my favorite was my choice, the fettuccine special that came with scallops, sausage, shrimp, and asparagus in a pesto sun dried tomato sauce. That alone was worth going back for. To finish off this insanely good meal, we split the chocolate crème brûlée and tiramisu. Both were very good. It’s safe to say we cannot wait to go back to try everything else on the menu. Highly recommend Mare Monte for your next dinner outing!

Beautifully decorated, clean and modern from the eating establishment to the restroom. Went for dinner on a Thursday night. Website says there's free parking 24/7 in the back, but I couldn't find how to get 'to the back'. Parked nearby, Had the calamari appetizer, salad of the day, pasta special; a shrimp and crab ravioli with mussels, a fish special; breaded with lemon, capers and lump crab, tiramisu and vanilla creme brulee. Calamari was nice, very soft and not chewy. Only came with rings. Would have liked both legs and rings, legs being shallower give it a different crunch than rings. Ravioli was al dente, would have liked it a little bit softer, personal preference. Fish with lemon and capers was nice, acidic to cut through the pasta carbs. Partial to tiramisu, was very light and fluffy. Would recommend. Creme brulee was nice, but as an added bonus, received complimentary lemon cheesecake with raspberry sauce! The crust was a bit thick for the spoon, but it was very nice with the raspberry. Waitress Mindy was a delight. Joyful and approachable, her cheerful demeanor was a pleasant addition to the night. Was expecting it to be more expensive for getting 3 M.P dishes, was pleasantly surprised how reasonable they were.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mare Monte, an authentic Italian style restaurant that left a lasting impression. From the moment I stepped inside, I was warmly greeted by the attentive staff, setting the tone for a delightful experience.

The ambiance was charming, with a cozy decor that transported me straight to Italy. The soft lighting and pleasant background music created a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a meal with friends or a romantic evening.

Now, let's talk about the food. The menu featured a wide array of Italian classics, and each dish was a celebration of flavors. I started with the bruschetta, which was a burst of freshness, featuring ripe tomatoes, basil, and a drizzle of rich olive oil on toasted bread. It set the stage for the culinary journey that followed.

For the main course, I opted for their signature pasta dish, the Mare Monte Linguine. The homemade linguine was perfectly al dente, and the seafood medley of clams, mussels, and shrimp was impeccably cooked and seasoned. The sauce was a delightful blend of tomatoes, garlic, and white wine, enhancing the natural flavors of the seafood without overpowering them. It was a true highlight of the meal.

The wine selection was well-curated, and the sommelier was knowledgeable and recommended a perfect pairing for our meal. Their extensive dessert menu left us spoiled for choice, and we couldn't resist trying the Tiramisu, which was a heavenly, velvety delight.

The service throughout the evening was exceptional. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and passionate about the cuisine, making sure we had a memorable dining experience.

Mare Monte delivers quality food, service, and ambiance. It's the kind of place you'll want to visit for special occasions or when you simply crave an indulgent Italian feast.

Overall, Mare Monte is a gem of an Italian restaurant that shines brightly in the culinary landscape. With its delectable dishes, inviting ambiance, and top-notch service, it's a dining destination worth savoring. Whether you're a seasoned Italian food enthusiast or someone looking to explore new flavors, Mare Monte is sure to leave you with a satisfied palate and a desire to...
