Since this restaurants felt the need to leave an unpleasant response to my wife's review. I'll go ahead and clear things up.
This is absolutely not our first time at a Thai place as we have had PLENTY of delicious Thai food around here and in Philadelphia. To call us out as amateurs because she asked for bread is quite tasteless. She didn't even mention bread in her review. What she specifically asked for was roti, which is often served at Thai restaurants. The waiter did not understand her request for ROTI so she simplified it as bread. Is she wrong for asking for roti?
No we didn't like our dish but we only spoke about the dishes in our review, which was all truth. Unfortunately you didn't like our review but it speaks VOLUMES about your business to leave any response other than something empathic and making an effort to resolve the issue.
Also, we absolutely didn't leave a tip. Why, because we did not feel like we were provided with quality service and did not enjoy our dining experience. We also asked the waiter for his recommendation about about the salmon before ordering it and clearly were unpleased with his recommendation. Ultimately it is up to our discretion if we want to tip. We typically tip 20% or over but unfortunately there were many things about our experience that we didn't find pleasant and decided not to share in our review until now. Why? Because you decided to call us out about bread and a tip. Very unprofessional.
I can keep going about the things we didn't like at your restaurant or you can let it go and learn that when a customer isnt pleased you do your best to address the issue for us and customers in the future. We appreciate you removing the one meal off then bill. But quite frankly none of it was good! You're lucky I don't drop a list of 5 better places in the area that people SHOULD go to. Now let it go, have a...
Read moreWent for lunch on Easter Sunday for 3 people. We were the only ones in the restaurant. With that being said, we expected the food to be good considering the exceptional reviews online and the fact that we were the only ones that needed to be catered to. We ordered the $25 tilapia special and was disappointed. The rice was hard and seemed as if the rice was cooked 3 days ago. The portions of the tilapia was only good for 1 person, when the server said that it is good for sharing. We also ordered the Thai Fried Rice; and for $18, was not worth it. To be honest, it tasted like it was ordered from a food court at a mall. We might as well have just went to Panda Express for a special Easter Sunday lunch. I voiced my concerns to the server who is the sweetest person and was apologetic with the subpar quality of the food. Service was over the top, but would not say the same about the...
Read moreBest Thai in the area (better than Circles and Thai Basil nearby as well as Circles Philadelphia, but not as good as Jitlada in Los Angeles, for instance).
We had Tom Yum Kung, and it was flavorful, aromatic, and pleasantly spicy. Fried Calamari was well-fried, light and crispy. Drunken noodles were sweet and chewy. Beef Red Curry was (asked for extra spicy) was nicely flavored, with good heat (but not too much). Only complaint was that it was on the sweet side.
Very comfortable atmosphere, beautiful plating, and very nice service. Prices were reasonable. Wish we could have ordered and tried more dishes, but we were only two people and couldn't eat very much.
The only thing that would make this better is if there were a menu sampler option... and maybe if the food were more authentically spicy. I expect true Thai food to put me...
