Just had the most unfortunate experience at Saxby’s. Im a customer of 5 years and have never had a problem with this location. Today was an awful ordeal. I called the the establishment about five times. The first couple of times were ignored and on the third time someone picked up the phone and put it down so I could hear the commotion but no one was answering to take my order. Then they clicked the phone off and I called two more times and they ended the calls immediately. The main reason I was calling because I know it takes some time to prepare breakfast sandwiches with orders. The employees were acting childish with the phone so my friend and I drove down there to order in person. When we arrived there was no line at all it was about 10:20 am and I started providing my order. As we are ordering the women there start trash talking the caller in front of us! It was so absurd. Then my friend used her phone while I was ordering to call to see if they would pick up the call but instead they denied it again. My friend spoke up and said I just called you and you denied my call. Their response was I’m sorry we’ve been so busy. I responded with that’s fine but there’s no one here now. There was a total of four staff there. When they found out we had been calling they were snickering and being very rude. The women who took our order gave us a stamp card because she felt bad but it was quite the ordeal. Then a man brought our food out to eat there even though we asked for it to go. Then he brings it out wrapped up and rolls his eyes at my friend. I believe our meal should have been fully comped because of how the employees treated us. We were bullied and treated unfairly and I don’t think this is how Mike wants to run his business. If this situation would have been rectified to the best of its abilities I wouldn’t be leaving such a negative review. I truly think staff needs to go through a hospitality and care course so they can learn to treat individuals more appropriately when they are serving them. I hope to hear from the owner on how he can resolve this situation for me since I’ve been a long time customer and this is the first time I’ve truly...
Read moreI am writing to formally express my disappointment with the treatment my friends and I received at Saxby’s Coffee Shop on June 21.
We visited the shop for coffee and sandwiches. While we received our coffee promptly, we waited approximately 25 minutes without receiving our food. Upon checking with staff, we were informed by the owner that the sandwich order had not been entered due to an error on their part. We responded calmly and simply asked that, when the sandwiches were ready, they be brought to us at the outdoor tables—since we had already waited a significant amount of time.
Instead of a courteous response, the owner came outside and confronted us in an aggressive and accusatory manner. He claimed we had been rude and obnoxious in making our request, which was entirely untrue. At no point were we disrespectful; we merely asked for a reasonable accommodation given the mistake.
His behavior was completely unprofessional and made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. After asking for a refund, he continued to raise his voice at us before eventually issuing the refund.
We will not be returning to this location, and we feel it’s important to bring this unacceptable treatment to patrons attention. What could have been a simple customer service correction turned into a hostile encounter that left us shaken and...
Read moreI always come here after visiting Inkwood books next door. I did not see any signage walking in noting the hours and there were a good amount of people inside just hanging out. I ordered my drink and my friend waited to order hers. My drink was made and the cashier was talking to other workers. I notice the people have gone and the cashier confirms with her coworker he told them they were closing. She turns to my friend and says they are closed and she can’t make her drink!! No one told us coming in they were closing and we came in together. There was no one behind her so it’s not like she needed to cut off the line. I told the cashier it wasn’t right we came in together, she said “Well what did she want to order” we said “a plain latte” and she sighed all annoyed so my friend said forget it and we left and went to Starbucks. I always enjoy coming to Saxbys for coffee and I can’t believe this terrible service...
